Anne Winters is opening up about a certain scene of 13 Reasons Why she can’t watch.
The 24-year-old actress has one scene in particular from a past season that’s hard for her – Tyler’s sexual assault scene in season two.
“It was very graphic. I could barely watch it honestly,” she told RadioTimes. “It was very disturbing. I could see how that provoked a lot of controversy to be honest.”
“At the same time I love being on a show that has so much controversy because it’s in everyone’s line of conversation, and everyone’s talking about it. I think that’s great,” Anne continued. “But that was crazy: that scene is definitely one that I will not watch again.”
She also thinks that abortion should be a topic in the third season.
“Abortion should be a topic. I don’t know if she should do it or not, I’m going to leave that up to the writers. But I think that it should definitely be discussed,” she told THR. If you forgot, it was revealed that her character Chloe was pregnant in the last episode of season two.
The National Institutes of Health have unveiled the findings of their study, finding that 13 Reasons Why has been associated with the spike in teen suicides.
Released earlier this week in the “Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry,” the results found there was a 28.9% increase in U.S. children between the ages of 10-17 that killed themselves in April 2017, one month after the series debuted.
However, that percentage is among boys, not girls.
Professor Joel Greenhouse, a statistics professor at Carnegie Mellon University and one author of the study, said that it’s important to note that researchers “cannot make a causal link” between the series and the sharp increase in youth suicide
After the study was released, Netflix shared a statement about it: “We’ve just seen this study and are looking into the research, which conflicts with last week’s study from the University of Pennsylvania. This is a critically important topic and we have worked hard to ensure that we handle this sensitive issue responsibly.”
13 Reasons Why‘s third season is expected to debut later this year on the streaming service.

This seems like the only 13 Reasons Why news we’ve had in months, because, well…it is.
However, Dylan Minnette is telling fans that season three of the hit Netflix show isn’t one to be missed.
Taking to Twitter as the cast heads into filming the final episodes of the upcoming season, Dylan shared that the scripts for those episodes are some of the best.
“I gotta say some of these last few scripts of season 3 are the show’s best,” he wrote, hyping up the new season.
Dylan is one of the original stars returning for the upcoming season, along with Ross Butler, Devin Druid, Justin Prentice, Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn, Miles Heizer, and more.
13 Reasons Why is expected to return to Netflix later this year.
Timothy Granaderos has been upped to a series regular for the third season of 13 Reasons Why, Deadline reports.
The actor played the recurring role of Montgomery de la Cruz in the first two seasons of the Netflix show.
“Way up I feel blessed -Drake & Me,” Timothy shared on Instagram about the news.
Timothy’s Montgomery is a bully who attends Liberty High. In season two, he secretly terrorized some people testifying at Hannah Baker’s trial.
Brenda Strong, who portrays Bryce’s (Justin Prentice) mother Nora Walker, has also been upped to a series regular.
Season three of 13 Reasons Why will premiere in 2019 on Netflix.

After it was reported that production of season three would be delayed due to salary negotiations, the cast has reportedly settled the issue and they’ll each be receiving a lot more money.

It is being reported that star Dylan Minnette will be paid about $200,000 per episode while fellow cast members Brandon Flynn, Alisha Boe, Justin Prentice, Christian Navarro, Miles Heizer, Devin Druid and Ross Butler will each be making $135,000 an episode, Deadline reports.
When the show first premiered last year, Dylan earned around $80,000 an episode while the rest of the cast made somewhere between $20,000-$60,000.
No word yet when season 3 of 13 Reasons Why will premiere.
