Emma Roberts lets out a big laugh on stage with co-star Nat Wolff at the Apple Store in Soho, New York City on Friday evening (April 25).
The two Palo Alto stars, along with director Gia Coppola, chatted up their new film, which is playing at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival.

“I was so excited to meet him because I’ve been a fan of his forever,” Emma told TeenVogue about working with James Franco on the project.
She added, “You read so many things about people, so I really nervous, but he was so above and beyond nice to me. He’s a really cool normal guy, and really smart, and very sweet. He was a dream to work with. I’d work with him again in a second.”

Based on James Franco‘s Palo Alto: Stories, several stories intertwine as the film unfolds: April (Emma Roberts), a levelheaded, intelligent, and spirited young woman who finds herself attracted to introspective artist Teddy (Jack Kilmer), whose buddy Fred’s (Nat Wolff) destructive nihilism brings Teddy down with him.
When her soccer coach (Franco) comes onto her, April’s world begins to spiral out of her control. One party bleeds into another as April and Teddy finally acknowledge their mutual affection, and Fred’s escalating recklessness spirals into chaos.
