The 25-year-old skater grabbed the silver medal at the event, earning 272.48, just 2.5 under champ Jason Brown.
Joshua Farris was third, Max Aaron placed fourth and defending champ Jeremy Abbott slipped into fifth.
“I came into this week kind of feeling that I had been written off. I really wanted to change that talk about me,” Adam shared. “I wanted to come here and I wanted people to see me as a champion. I feel like a champion today.”

The 20-year-old Olympian claimed the title with a stunning program which placed him on top of the leaderboard with 274.98.

Just the night before, Jason gave a shout out to all his fans on Twitter.
“Thx 2 the fans 4 all the love & support! We had so much fun 2night meeting u, signing autographs, & taking pictures!” he wrote.

The engaged figure skaters stunned the crowd and broke records to capture gold and the title.
Alexa and Chris placed first in the short program with 74.01 — the highest pairs short score ever and then upped it with a height-defying quad twist, giving them a total of 210.49, 10 points over second place finishers Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier.
Tarah Kayne and Danny O’Shea, were in third and Madeline Aaron and Max Settlage placed 4th.

Madison Chock gets all the medalists into one skating selfie after the Free Dance competition at the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday night (January 24) in Greensboro, N.C.
The 22-year-old skater, along with partner, Evan Bates, won the gold at the annual event, just ahead of Maia and Alex Shibutani in second, Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue in third and Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker in fourth.
“So proud to be up on the podium with these incredible people!!! What a great day!! #NC2015 #podiumselfies,” Madison captioned on Instagram.

Ashley Wagner reacts with glee after nailing her free skate during the Ladie’s competition at the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday night (January 24) in Greensboro, N.C.
The 23-year-old skater won the national title, beating Gracie Gold, who came in second, and Karen Chen, in third.
“This, of my three titles, this one tastes the sweetest,” Ashley shared after the competition with press. “This is the one that means the most to me, because this is the one that shows every single person that doubts me, every single person that says I’m too old, every single person that says I’m not capable of being a leading lady — this shows them that they need to shut their mouths and watch me skate.”
Polina Edmunds placed 4th and Mirai Nagasu slipped down to 10th.

Things definitely got dramatic during the Ice Dance Short Program at 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Friday night (January 23) in Greensboro, N.C.
Madison Chock and Evan Bates and Maia and Alex Shibutani are neck and neck in the first and second positions for the title.
“That’s no surprise,” Evan shared after the event. “We know very well the Shibutanis are excellent competitors and I think our rivalry is nothing new to anybody. We’re expecting that and I think it’s going to set up for a really good free dance tomorrow.”
While Madison and Evan are at the top with 73.95 points, the ShibSibs are just .11 behind in second with 73.84.
Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue are in third with 65.43 points.

The 20-year-old Olympian made history at the event, by claiming the second highest score ever with 93.36 points.
“I was beyond shocked. Excited doesn’t even fit the term,” Jason shared after his explosive skate.
