Harry Styles is reacting to the news of his first ever Grammy award nominations!
The 26-year-old musician and actor is up for three awards at the 2021 Grammys – Best Pop Vocal Album for Fine Line, Best Pop Solo Performance for “Watermelon Sugar,” and Best Music Video for “Adore You.”
In Harry‘s Variety interview for being named the Hitmaker of the Year, he opened up for the first time about the noms.
“It’s always nice to know that people like what you’re doing, but ultimately — and especially working in a subjective field — I don’t put too much weight on that stuff. I think it’s important when making any kind of art to remove the ego from it,” Harry said.
“It’s about the work that you do when you’re not expecting any applause,” he added, citing the painter Matisse.

Noah Cyrus got super emotional when she found out that she was nominated for a 2021 Grammy Award!
The 20-year-old singer is up for Best New Artist at the show, which is her first Grammy nomination.
Noah shared her reaction video on Instagram, where she broke down in tears upon hearing the news.
“IM A GRAMMY NOMINATED ARTIST!!! i’m in a puddle of tears in bed after being woken up and told IM NOMINATED AS BEST NEW ARTIST,” Noah captioned her post. “my mom at the beginning of the year wrote in her intensions book for me to be nominated for a grammy… mom you’ve always been and are my biggest fan. thank u i love you so much.”

She joins her dad Billy Ray Cyrus and sister Miley Cyrus in the feat. Billy Ray has been nominated seven times throughout his career, winning his first two for “Old Town Road” with Lil Nas X earlier this year. Miley was nominated in 2015 for Best Pop Vocal Album for Bangerz.

Justin Bieber is reacting to his 2021 Grammy Awards nominations!
The 26-year-old was nominated for multiple awards, including Best Pop Solo Performance for “Yummy,” Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Intentions” with Quavo, Best Pop Vocal Album for Changes and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for “10,000 Hours” with Dan + Shay.
Though he’s thankful for all the nominations, he doesn’t like that his nominations are in the Pop categories, as his album Changes was an R&B album.
“Please don’t mistake this as me being ungrateful, these are just my thoughts take em or leave em. Thank you to the people who fought for me to even have any noms,” he captioned a note on Instagram.
“To the Grammys I am flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry. I am very meticulous and intentional about my music. With that being said I set out to make an R&B album. Changes was and is an R&B album,” Justin‘s note says.
“It is not being acknowledged as an R&B album which is very strange to me. I grew up admiring R&B music and wished to make a project that would embody that sound,” he continued. “For this not to be put into that category feels weird considering from the chords to the melodies to the vocal style all the way down to the hip hop drums that were chosen it is undeniably, unmistakably an R&B Album! To be clear I absolutely love Pop music it just wasn’t what I set out to make this time around. My gratitude for feeling respected for my work remains and I am honored to be nominated either way.”

The nominations for the 2021 Grammy Awards have been revealed!
This is the 63rd annual ceremony for the awards, and there were a lot of great nominations.
Leading the list of most nominated is Beyonce with nine nominations. Taylor Swift landed six nominations, Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish received four noms, and Chloe x Halle got three.
BTS was also nominated for their first Grammy award – Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Dynamite.”
Taylor‘s album folklore picked up Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album nominations, while “Cardigan” was nominated for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance, and “Exile” earned the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nom for Taylor and Bon Iver.
Frozen 2 even picked up a nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media and Best Song Written For Visual Media Category for “Into The Unknown.”
The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will be hosted by Trevor Noah, and are set to air on CBS on January 31, 2021 in and around downtown Los Angeles at 8pm EST.

Harry is up for Best Pop Vocal Album for Fine Line, Best Pop Solo Performance for “Watermelon Sugar,” and Best Music Video for “Adore You.”
This marks the first time that any One Direction band member, or even the band as a whole, has been nominated for a Grammy!
Fans were bummed back in 2017 when none of the five guys were nominated for awards at the 2018 Grammy Awards ceremony, despite all having music that could have been eligible.
Harry also missed out last year for the 2020 Grammy Awards, as his album Fine Line had missed the cutoff dates for eligibility. We’re glad he got the recognition now!
