Olivia Rodrigo wears a full purple look while attending the 2022 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 2) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
This is the 19-year-old singer and actress’ second time attending the event.
Olivia actually wore custom Jennifer Behr x Betsey Johnson butterflies, which were inspired by one of Betsey Johnson’s archival pieces from her 1997 Spring/Summer runway show. They are made of printed lilac silk with Swarovski crystal accents.
“Working collaboratively with Olivia and Betsey was as fun as it gets, creatively speaking,” Jennifer Behr shared in a statement. “It was an honor to bring new life to one of Betsey’s iconic 90’s runway looks, and Olivia’s fresh take redefined the look for today.”
“I’ve always loved butterflies and how free and pretty they are! Re-creating this design for Olivia with Jennifer has been so fun and I’m excited to see this piece come to life again!” added Betsey Johnson.

Gigi Hadid wears a giant maroon coat over her outfit at the 2022 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 2) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The 27-year-old model’s younger sister Bella Hadid was also seen hitting the carpet, in a very different look!
Gigi opted for a Versace ensemble with Chopard jewelry, while Bella went for a Burberry look and a Briony Raymond bracelet on her ankle.

Dove Cameron is making a statement while attending the 2022 Met Gala on Monday evening (May 2) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The 26-year-old “Boyfriend” singer and actress made her Met Gala debut at the annual fashion event.
Dove showed off a stunning Iris van Herpen look, with her hair slicked back and fierce eye makeup.
Her silhouette “is inspired by cosmic structures of spiral nebulas, spiraling out from their center. The macrocosmic delineated rivers of stars found in these spirals are reflected in the sketches of this design. A dramatic spheroid silhouette is created from singular fine lines, spiraling delicately with the wearer’s movements.”
Dove‘s look took ten people and 600 hours to create, using layers of white fabric and recycled mylar, which were laser cut and stitched onto a template with the artwork integrated in the pattern of the dress.
