It was just announced and confirmed that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are expecting their first child together.
However, while you may know all about Kylie, you probably don’t know a lot about Travis – which is why JJJ has 5 Fast Facts about the rapper for you.
Travis, born, Jacques Webster, Jr., is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer from Houston, Texas, and was signed to Epic Records in 2012.
He was also signed to Kanye West‘s GOOD Music, to be a part of its production wing Very GOOD Beats.
Check out 5 more facts about Travis below:
- Music is in his blood. But, it was a struggle to get his family to understand his desire to get into the music industry: “[They didn't want me to do music]! The most ironic thing is my grandfather has his masters in music composition, he was a jazz composer. My dad was a musician too, he played more like soul music. He dad was a drummer and he plays the piano. That’s where I get my whole music theory from, my pops and my grandfather.”
- His stage name was inspired by his uncle. He told Grantland, “[He] Was like my favorite relative. I looked up to him. He always just had swag. Always made good decisions, good business decisions.”
- He can play a ton of instruments. He played the drums at the age of three, and the piano at five. Scott then started to produce beats at the age of ten.
- He doesn’t like sour cream. He told Complex of the time that Kanye brought tacos into the studio, but they were loaded with sour cream. However, he still ate them. “I wasn’t going to be like, ‘No, I’m not f***ing with this taco man. You put this sh** on this nice plate, but I’m not about to eat it.’ That taco was so f***ing disgusting. But man, I wouldn’t even notice it.”
- He once sacrificed a bed for a studio. “[I] Slept in a chair,” he revealed, and built a makeshift studio in high school.
