Aly and AJ Michalka head back to the 90s with their costumes for Kate Hudson‘s Halloween party in Los Angeles on Thursday night (October 30).
The 78violet sisters dolled up in short dresses as Romy and Michelle, the two lead characters from the movie of the same name.
“Did someone say Romy & Michele? #postits,” Aly posted on Instagram on their way to the party.
AJ added with another shot, “Thanks for having us @katehudson ! Amazing party as usual!”

Just a few days before, Aly and AJ were spotted on the beach for a photo shoot.

The 23-year-old actress/singer hit the sand with her older sister, Aly, and boyfriend Keenan Tracey, who stars on The CW’s The 100.
“We got to shoot with the talented and kind @cassblackbird today! #LuckyLadies,” Aly and AJ wrote on Twitter before getting dolled up for Matthew Morrison’s Halloween party.
They added with a group shot, “#ValleyOfTheDolls #Dylan #Ziggy Thanks for having us last night @Matt_Morrison #Halloween.”

AJ and Aly Michalka arrive at For Love and Lemons annual SKIVVIES party held at The Carondelet House on Thursday night (July 31) in Los Angeles.
The newly engaged Aly, 25, and AJ, 23, were joined by good friend Corbin Bleu at the bash which included a special performance from Jena Malone and her band, The Shoe.
In case you missed the big news, Aly and AJ are also starring together and producing a new indie directed by Aly‘s fiance Stephen Ringer.
The dramedy is about “two sisters on the cusp of adulthood spending their last week in their LA hometown before embarking on their next tour.” Sounds really familiar!

We’ve been dying to know more details about Aly Michalka‘s brand new engagement and now we do!
The 25-year-old actress/singer’s new fiance Stephen Ringer popped the question to her under the Bixby Bridge on Tuesday (July 8) in Big Sur, Calif, E News! reports.

“They are planning for a late 2015 wedding,” her rep told the site, adding about the rock, “It’s a vintage ring from the ’20s.”
And yes, of course, her sister AJ will act as maid of honor! “I couldn’t be happier for my sweet sister Aly and brother in law Stephen! I love you both so much,” she tweeted. “What a special couple. #maidofhonor.”
