The 20-year-old YouTuber released the track on Friday (August 23).
The single captures the pain of falling for someone who still hasn’t gotten over their ex.
Aaron Carpenter co-wrote “Next,” which follows his debut single, “Attitude,” as well as “Chase.” He is currently working on his debut album.

Niall Horan wears a polka dot button up while attending the Capitol Music Group’s Capitol Congress on Wednesday (August 7) in Los Angeles.
While at the event, the 25-year-old singer debuted two new songs from his upcoming second album.
One of the songs is Niall‘s next single, “Nice To Meet Ya”, which will be released in September, as well as a ballad titled “Put A Little Love On Me”.
“Yesterday was a good day 😁,” Niall tweeted the next morning.
Niall also dished that his album is on the way, but he’s not sure if it will come out later this year, or in 2020.
Also in attendance at the event were Loren Gray, HRVY, NCT 127, Aaron Carpenter, and Fletcher.
Aaron Carpenter is getting candid about his struggle with anxiety.
The 20-year-old musician and social media star took to his Instagram to share his feelings and let fans going through the same thing know that they are not alone.
“I’m not really sure where to start talking about this or how to exactly because i never really have spoken much about this topic ever online but it’s something i feel that some people need to hear and it’s something i should be more open about on here. But growing up I never really dealt with anxiety that much or enough to understand what anxiety actually was up until last year,” Aaron began.
He continued, “I started waking up in the middle of the nights in a panic, would never wanna leave my apartment & it felt like it was all only happening to me. But i finally brought it up to someone & talked about it and felt a LOT better just with knowing that i wasn’t the only one experiencing this and that’s why i wanted to come online and say that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! We’re all here for each other and i know that it may not seem like it at times but everything’s going to be okay & there’s always a light at the end of every dark tunnel. Don’t think too much about the days ahead and just take everything day by day! I’m here for you all…i love you all”

The 19-year-old social media star is opening up to RAW about his musical influences.
“I grew up around music; my family was very music oriented. My mom is an incredible singer and my brother’s an incredible musician. I’m the youngest of three. I have an older brother and an older sister. And they’ve all influenced me,” he said.
“All-time favorite musician right now is Bruno Mars. He’s an incredible performer and entertainer and incredibly talented. Justin Timberlake is also incredible. And some newer artists–Khalid’s dope. Alessia Cara is incredible, and DJ’s such as Zedd, Kygo, all those guys! Calvin Harris!” he added.
