The duo danced a Jive to “Jailhouse Rock” for Famous Dances Night, which earned them 30 points from the judges.

Alek recently revealed that he asked his switch-up partner Emma Slater on a date!
“I’ve got a truck and there are some mountains in Oregon,” Alek told People about a potential first date spot. “So we can go up straight up into the mountains in the truck and look at the stars.”

Derek Hough and Bindi Irwin take some time to meet with waiting fans after practice in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon (October 16).
The 30-year-old pro dancer wrote about his lift with Bindi, 17, for this week’s upcoming DWTS show in his new blog for TVGuide.
“Normally, we can do our own versions of these dances, but they told us they want us to reflect the original as possible. We still have some freedom with it. The tough part is the lift, of course,” Derek wrote. “I don’t normally do lifts and I never really have done those on the show. And this is a really difficult lift to do. We try every day and we’ve gotten really close.”
He added, “Yesterday, we went to a lake — and I use that term loosely. It was more of a smelly bog. It was in the Hills. There’s a little reservoir and it was so gross. The silt was like 3-feet deep. When you stepped in it, the bubbles popped. Believe me, I did not choose that location! But it was actually really fun.”

The switch up pair performed an amazing rumba which got everyone talking about their off-the-dance-floor chemistry, where they earned 29 points for their dance.
“You were amazing @alekskarlatos thank you for dancing the rumba so beautifully with me tonight @DancingABC,” Emma shared on Twitter after the night was over.

Alek Skarlatos and his new partner for the week Emma Slater take the floor on Dancing with the Stars on Monday night (October 12) in Hollywood!
The 23-year-old dancer, who normally dances with Lindsay Arnold, received a score of 29 from the judges! Alek and Emma danced an amazing Rumba together, despite a bit of a hiccup earlier in the day.
They danced to “Let It Go” by James Bay.
It was reported that Alek broke his nose during his practice before tonight’s big show. We’re glad to see him doing okay and competing like a total pro.
