Asa Butterfield is getting a lesson in punk from Alex Wolff in the brand-new trailer for their film The House of Tomorrow!
In it, Asa portrays a teenage boy named Sebastian Prendergast.
Based on Peter Bognanni’s best-selling novel of the same name, The House of Tomorrow follows “Sebastian Prendergast (Asa), a teenager who lives a sheltered life inside a geodesic dome under the overprotective eye of his grandmother (Ellen Burstyn). When he befriends a rebellious teenager with heart trouble (Alex), Sebastian joins a punk band to escape his oppressive upbringing and the legacy of renowned futurist Buckminster Fuller,” according to EW.
Earlier that day, Nick found out he was nominated for a Golden Globe for his co-writing of the song “Home” from the animated film Ferdinand.
“My wake-up call this morning was one of my friends banging on my door because I wasn’t answering my phone,” he told E! News. “He handed me his phone and at first I feared that something was wrong, but then it was my manager telling me the news and I freaked out. I was like a 10-year-old child who just got a new Gameboy.”

It’s hard to believe that Ross Lynch and Alex Wolff only spent one day together while they weren’t filming My Friend Dahmer.
Alex explains to EW that that is exactly what happened.
“I met Ross a few days before, and we hung out in the hotel room and played music and laughed,” he shared with the magazine. “Then him and I looked at each other, and we were like, ‘We’re probably going to have to not hang out again until this movie’s over.’”
“I was like, ‘I’m glad we got to hang out as ourselves, [but] let’s keep a distance,’” Alex says. “And me and Ross barely talked the whole movie, because we wanted to feel like, even the scenes where we were together, we weren’t really together.”
The feel of the entire movie is dark, so we definitely understand their reasoning for the disconnect.
Alex adds, “I loved the idea that we could be next to each other the whole movie, but that it could feel like we were thousands of miles away from each other.”
My Friend Dahmer hits select theaters on Friday, November 3rd.
Ross Lynch takes out his anger on a tree as Jeffrey Dahmer in the first trailer for My Friend Dahmer.
The film centers on the teenage years of the famed serial killer, who as an awkward teenager is struggling to make it through high school with a family life in ruins. He collects roadkill, fixates on a neighborhood jogger (Vincent Kartheiser), and copes with his unstable mother (Anne Heche) and well-intentioned father (Dallas Roberts).
He begins to act out at school, and his goofball antics win over a group of band-nerds who form The Dahmer Fan Club, headed by Derf Backderf (Alex Wolff). But this camaraderie can’t mask his growing depravity. Approaching graduation, Jeff spirals further out of control, inching ever closer to madness.
