'Saved by the Bell' Canceled After 2 Seasons on Peacock!

'Saved by the Bell' Canceled After 2 Seasons on Peacock!

Saved by the Bell fans will be sorry to hear – the show has now been canceled.

Deadline reports that the comedy reboot has been axed by streamer Peacock after just two seasons.

According to the site, the cast and crew of the show were informed of the news on Tuesday (May 3).

Saved by the Bell picked up years after the original series, when California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids (who never have a problem that can’t be solved in twenty-two minutes) a much-needed dose of reality.

The reboot starred Haskiri Velazquez, Mitchell Hoog, Josie Totah, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden and John Michael Higgins, as well as original series stars Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez. OG stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen and Lark Voorhies also made appearances throughout the reboot.

Josephine Langford, Hadley Robinson & More Star In 'Moxie' Trailer - Watch Now!

Josephine Langford, Hadley Robinson & More Star In 'Moxie' Trailer - Watch Now!

The official trailer for the upcoming movie Moxie just debuted on Tuesday morning (February 2)!

The new film has quite the cast of young stars, including Josephine Langford, Hadley Robinson, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Josie Totah, Sydney Park and more.

Here’s a synopsis: Vivian (Robinson), a seemingly shy 16-year-old, has always preferred to keep her head down and fly under the radar. But when the arrival of a new student (Alycia Pascual-Peña) forces her to examine the unchecked behavior of her fellow students running rampant at her high school, Vivian realizes she’s fed up.

Inspired by her mother’s (Amy Poehler) rebellious past, Vivian anonymously publishes an underground zine called Moxie to expose bias and wrongdoing in her high school, and unexpectedly sparks a movement. Now at the center of a revolution, Vivian begins to forge new friendships with other young women and allies, reaching across the divide of cliques and clubs as they learn to navigate the highs and lows of high school together.

The movie, directed by Amy Poehler, also stars Lauren Tsai, Nico Hiraga, Clark Gregg, Anjelika Washington, Charlie Hall, and Sabrina Haskett, with Ike Barinholtz and Marcia Gay Harden.

Look out for Moxie on March 3rd on Netflix!
