In “Tested”, Blaine (Criss) discovers his newfound love of “cronuts” has the residual side-effect of weight gain – namely, the dreaded “Freshman Fifteen.” Combined with witnessing a more physically fit and self-confident Kurt’s (Colfer) star rapidly rising at NYADA while his simultaneously wanes, the increasingly pudgy former dreamboat begins to suffer a crisis in confidence… leading to some uncharacteristic behavior.
Meanwhile, as roommates Sam (Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) explore being a couple, she confesses that she is still a virgin and is not sure when (or if) she will be ready for them to make love for the first time.

In the second part of the hit show’s 100th episode, “New Directions”, with the McKinley High School glee club officially a thing of the past, many of those involved in New Directions, past and present, look towards what their futures hold. In a bid to keep music in the school in some form, returning substitute teacher Holly Holliday (Gwyneth Paltrow) takes advantage of her oddly logical friendship with Principal Sue (Jane Lynch) and wins approval for Will (Morrison) and the gleeks to try out a new, extra-curricular music club on a trial basis, but it doesn’t go quite as planned.
Meanwhile, with graduation imminent, Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) grows more concerned about her dwindling college options and � desperate to find her ticket out of Lima � resorts to using questionable tactics; Puck (Mark Salling) makes a heartfelt admission to Quinn (Agron), prompting an unexpected and welcome response and Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) make a realization about themselves and the future of their relationship.

Here’s what went down: The girls were determined to find out who’s at the top of the most successful Diva, so they had a showdown in front of the club, with “Defying Gravity.” But before a vote could even start, Santana started to humilate Rachel in front of everyone! Mean!
Later on, Mercedes and Rachel came to terms with some internal battles and decided they didn’t care who won. Good thing too, since the vote was 50-50.

Amber added about singing “Defying Gravity” in front of Kristin Chenoweth, who originated the role of Glenda in Wicked on Broadway: “I definitely thought of her being in the room and when she came in earlier today, I was like ‘She’s going to be in the room, with us singing this song?’ She’s the one you listen to first singing.”
“How does that happen?” Chris Colfer added about the realization dawning on him.
