What Brings Superman to National City on Tonight's 'Supergirl'? Get the Scoop!

Are you ready for tonight’s season two premiere of Supergirl?!

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg is opening up about what brings Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) to National City with Supergirl (Melissa Benoist).

“The two of them actually show up to the same crisis. It wasn’t a turf war, they just both heard about the same tragedy on the news and both flew into action,” he told EW. “But they haven’t really gotten a chance to spend time together, especially since she’s come out as Supergirl, and they both want that. Both of them have a bit of sadness about them, they both have that sense of feeling alone, they both have that sense of feeling different, and both of them remark that that loneliness, that alienation, that isolation goes away when they are together. Part of what these episodes explore is that they don’t get that because of the machinations of the plot and of the actions of Project Cadmus, the villains; they both have homes to defend and they have to defend their own turf.”

As for what brings Mon-El (Chris Wood) to Earth, Andrew said, “He’s brought to Earth because he’s from Daxam, just as in the comics, which was a sister world to Krypton. The destruction of Krypton also resulted in a very bad day for Daxam. That’s how he escaped that cataclysm and came to Earth….He’s fresh off the boat – as far as he’s concerned. He got into a pod on Daxam and then the next day was on Earth. She says to somebody in one of the early episodes that she wasn’t sent to Earth to be Supergirl, she was sent to Earth to watch Clark, take care of him and to be a protector. In a way, Mon-El coming here, she’s finally now getting to fill that original mission.”

Supergirl premieres TONIGHT, October 10 @ 8PM on The CW.

Tom Felton is Expecting 'Harry Potter' Jokes on 'The Flash'!

Tom Felton is Expecting 'Harry Potter' Jokes on 'The Flash'!

Check out these new photos of Tom Felton in his upcoming guest stint on The Flash!

Tom Felton is portraying a character on our show – he’s not portraying Tom Felton,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told EW. “Cisco will continue to make pop culture references. We’re, generally speaking, not afraid to have a little bit of a meta-moment.”

Tom told the mag about possible Harry Potter jokes, “I’m so excited for the references. I don’t doubt the talent and creativity of the writers. I’ve got a feeling they’ll come up with some real good ones. I hadn’t thought about me saying it – I assumed it would come at me from Cisco – but maybe I should give it to Cisco. Maybe he should misquote something and I could correct him.”

In tonight’s episode, titled “Unthinkable,” Slade (Manu Bennett) moves forward with his plan to kill one more person in Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) life.

While Oliver has fought all year to be more than the killer he once was, when Slade kidnaps someone close to Oliver’s heart, Oliver is pushed to the edge and realizes sometimes it takes doing the unthinkable to stop the monster.

The season two finale of Arrow airs TONIGHT, May 14 @ 8PM on The CW!

JustJaredJr: Let’s talk those shots at the end first. Whether Malcolm lives or dies, Thea has already been in a dark place lately. How will this interaction with her father affect her going forward?

Andrew Kreisberg: I think Thea has a choice to make. She needs to decide who she wants to be and what she wants to be. And whether she still wants to be Thea Queen because in a way, Malcolm is saying, “You can be Thea Merlyn.” I think the choice Thea makes is going to surprise the hell out of people.
