The 'Animaniacs' Gets Early Season 3 Renewal Following Massive Season 1 Debut

The Animaniacs really came back with a big bang!

The hit 90s animated series made a comeback on Hulu in November and it was a huge success, causing it to be renewed for a third season.

Animaniacs was already kicking off with two seasons, and the first season garnered the most social mentions of any Hulu Original to date over its season one opening weekend.

Here’s a synopsis: After returning to their beloved home, the Warner Bros. Water Tower, the Animaniacs waste no time in causing chaos and comic confusion as they run loose through the studio and beyond, turning the world into their personal playground. Joining Yakko, Wakko and Dot are fan-favorite characters Pinky and the Brain who will also return to continue their quest for world domination.

Season two will premiere on Hulu later this year, and season three will feature another 10 new episodes.

Warner Brothers' Cartoon Series 'Animaniacs' To Return With 2-Season Order on Hulu

You guys — it took us hours to write this post because we were just way too excited about this!

Animaniacs, the super silly, never serious, loopey Warner Brothers’ cartoon is coming back and we can not control our excitement about it!

The ’90s animated television show is returning 20 years after being cancelled and heading to Hulu for a two-season, straight-to-series order, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

The series will see the return of fan-favorite characters like Pinky and the Brain, as well as Yakko, Wakko and Dot, and don’t forget Slippy and Skippy Squirrel, Buttons and Mindy, Rita, Chicken Boo, Katie Ka-Boom, and The Goodfeathers.

The deal also gives Hulu the library rights to Pinky and the Brain, Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain and the complete Tiny Toon Adventures collection. These episodes are all available to stream now on Hulu.

“We cannot wait to work with Steven Spielberg and the entire Amblin and Warner Bros. teams to bring more sketches, catchphrases, songs and laughs from the Animaniacs to kids and adults everywhere. Now one of the most beloved, inventive and funny animated franchises in history, Animaniacs and its cast of witty characters can live on, on Hulu,” said Craig Erwich of Hulu.

The new Animaniacs episodes will begin rolling out in 2020 in Hulu’s first-ever original series made for families.
