The two actors and Anna have been around the world promoting the upcoming film, which is out in theaters on April 12th.

In a recent interview, Hero opened up about being prepped by Anna about just how big the After fandom was.

“I was shocked,” Hero admitted. “I must have been living under a rock…I slightly underestimated [just how big it was]. I was pleasently surprised.”

If you aren’t aware, Anna Todd‘s “After” novel was originally a One Direction fan fiction story, that was discovered on Wattpad.

Back then, instead of Hardin Scott, it was Harry Styles.

After it turned into a worldwide sensation, the re-worked fanfiction Now, Anna‘s book turned into a movie, and now is just a week away from hitting theaters.

Speaking with IBT in a new interview, Anna opened up about a message she’d send to the band for first inspiring her to write the original story.

“I think I would just say, ‘Thanks’,” she shared. “Like, literally, ‘Thank you.’”

Anna added, “My entire life would’ve been different if it wasn’t for reading One Direction fanfiction. So, I think I would just say, ‘Thanks,’ and I don’t know what I would say after that, to be honest, but I would just say, ‘Thank you.’”

Here’s hoping that one of them turns up at the premiere in LA next week!

It’s safe to say that Anna Todd is a huge fan of Josephine Langford.

While picking out her favorite scenes in the After movie with IBT, Anna opened up about how amazing Josephine is as Tessa in the big screen adaption of her novel.

“Jo is…she’s just so good,” she shared. “Se cares so much about her job, and she’s really talented and really dedicated. So, she did such an amazing job.”

Anna added that Josephine actually has chemistry with the book.

“She’s like putty. You just put her somewhere and she just — she has great chemistry. Even with the friendships, the chemistry is so good.”

Josephine, Anna and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin are all pictured below in a portrait session during their recent visit to Milan, Italy over the weekend.

The Cleaning Up star and the Wish Upon actress teamed up for the screening held at Hotel Royal Monceau on Monday (April 1).

Hero suited up in black, while Josephine wore a red, green, and black floral ensemble.

They were joined by author Anna Todd, looking elegant in a black and pink sleeveless gown.

In After, based on the novel by Anna, a young woman falls for a guy with a dark secret and the two embark on a rocky relationship.

The 21-year-old sported a pink blazer and white T-shirt while the actress, also 21, looked stunning in a white dress as they promoted their new movie.

Also stepping out for the photo call was Anna Todd – the author who wrote the novel the film is based on.

After author Anna Todd is so grateful for all the support during the film’s press tour!

The 30-year-old writer, who penned the book on which the film is based, took to her Instagram in the midst of the world tour with stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.

“The support on this tour has been overwhelmingly incredible. We’ve heard so many amazing things about the movie from those of you who have watched it, and it means the world to us,” Anna wrote.

Another day, another stop on the world tour of After for star Hero Fiennes Tiffin!

The 21-year-old actor has been traveling around the world to promote the new film and he just stopped at a photo call in Rome, Italy on Saturday (March 30).

Hero was joined by Anna Todd, the author who wrote the novel the film is based on. He looked dapper in a brown leather jacket over a turtleneck at the event.
