Rip Hunter is back — and he has absolutely no clue who the Legends of Tomorrow are!
Arthur Darvill will make his return later this month on the show as the captain, returning from filming another show in the UK.
“They were very kind on Legends - Broadchurch is something that’s been going on for a while, so they had to work around that,” Arthur revealed in a recent interview of his absence from the CW show. “I was so pleased to finish off that journey on Broadchurch.”
But what about his return as Rip? “Yeah, I do come back, in some way, to Legends of Tomorrow… but I can’t talk about that! I always work on shows that you’re not allowed to bloody talk about…”
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will make it’s winter premiere on January 24th @ 9PM ET/PT on the CW.
During the panel, Legends of Tomorrow unveiled three new characters that would join the universe — Obsidian, Stargirl and Dr. Mid-Nite. It was also announced that the team would be facing off against TV’s first-ever team of Super-Villains: the Legion of Doom (Malcolm Merlyn, Damien Darhk [Neal McDonough], the Reverse-Flash [Matt Letscher] and Captain Cold [Wentworth Miller]).
Caity is also pictured at the EW Comic Con Party later that night, while Dominic was seen with girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord at the Fox Fanfare party a few nights before.
Arthur Darvill keeps a low profile while touching down at the airport on Monday (February 8) in Vancouver, Canada.
The 33-year-old actor is back in town to continue filming his hit show DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
“What appealed to me the most is that [Rip Hunter is] such an interesting character,” Arthur recently told Collider.com. “He’s arrogant and he’s cocky, but he’s also a bit hurt. He thinks that he can be the thing to change the world and right all the wrongs of his time, and then he realizes that he can’t really. Only with everyone’s help, can he do it. It’s a complicated journey that he’s on, and that’s what really appealed to me about doing this.”
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays @ 8PM on The CW.
“The fun comes from these people not just pulling together to save the world, but to existing together on a space ship,” EP Phil Klemmer said about the upcoming show (via Variety). “Some of the most fun is them bickering.”

The trio was joined by their showrunner, Phil Klemmer.
“It’s a highly serialized (show) that will be broken down into chapters where we go back into a specific time and place,” Phil told the crowd (via Variety). “We will see the ’70s, the Cold War, fascism, terrorism…It’s fully insane.”
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will premiere in January 2016.
Caity Lotz gets sandwiched in by co-stars Brandon Routh and Arthur Darvill at the CW Network’s 2015 Upfront Presentation held at The London Hotel on Thursday morning (May 14) in New York City.
“The difference between being an Avenger and being a Legend of Tomorrow?” the show’s official Twitter account asked fans after the presentation. “Hawkgirl and White Canary will TOTALLY get their own action figures.” WOOHOO!
Emily Kinney makes her debut as the Bug-Eyed Bandit in this still from tonight’s all-new episode of The Flash!
In “All Star Team Up,” Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They’ve come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit.
Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it’s all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (Amanda Pays).
A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster.
