On using Instagram for activism and displaying joy: “I can say, my friends look great today, let’s take a picture’ and be equally concerned with issues globally. There’s a power in just displaying joy.”

On activism without borders: “My love of history, or even being socially engaged, stems from having, firsthand, people to care about around the globe and at a young age expanding my community beyond these fake borders we put on each other.”

On philanthropy as a family value: “I remember when we first got an investment banker, he would meet with me and my brother at 10 and seven. I think from the time I got my first check, you said [her mother, Keri], ‘You have three jars: You have savings, you have spending, and you have donating. What do you want to put in each jar? So it’s already kind of infrastructurally set up – you get, and then you give some.”

Congratulations are in order for Zendaya as she just landed the role as Lancome‘s new face and she celebrated at two events on Thursday night (February 21) in Los Angeles.

The 22-year-old actress was unveiled as the new face at an afternoon event with fellow Lancome ambassadresses Lupita Nyong’o and Taylor Hill.

Later on that night, Zendaya continued the celebrations while attending Vanity Fair and Lancome’s Toast to Women in Hollywood for Oscars week.

Also in attendance at the event were Zendaya‘s Euphoria co-stars Storm Reid, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, and Jacob Elordi, as well as Lupita, Taylor, Olivia Munn, Jaime King, Rumer Willis, Skai Jackson, and Ava DuVernay.

FYI: Zendaya is wearing a David Koma look at the unveiling event. She’s wearing an Alexis Mabille gown to the evening event. Lupita is wearing an Alex Perry dress. Taylor is wearing an Azzaro top and metallic pants.

Kristen Stewart shines in silver while attending the Women In Motion dinner held during the 2018 Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 13) in Cannes, France.

The 28-year-old actress and festival jury member was joined by Ava DuVernay, Salma Hayek, and Chloe Sevigny.

On the carpet, Kristen dished on what it was like to be apart of the women’s march that was held during the festival the day before.

“To hear the statistics out loud, spoken from the mouth of someone like Cate [Blanchett], and then to look down and see everyone together. Honestly, I was so lucky to exist today, and just really baffled by my place in that,” Kristen said, via Variety.

“I’m a lucky girl, and to be honest, we all are. That was amazing,” she added.

The Greatest Showman actress took to Twitter on Friday (February 9) to share her thoughts about the A Wrinkle in Time stars.

It started when director Ava DuVernay tweeted, “Help me lift up these young queens,” along with photos of Rowan and Storm.

“They do layered, beautiful work in @WrinkleinTime,” Ava wrote. “Their characters focus on female friendship. What the world tries to impose on us. And what we really can be. Love to @StormReid and @RowanBlanchard. xo.”

“This is awesome, two bright beautiful lights,” Zendaya replied, adding, “(side note, Storm may be my long lost little sister).”

Storm Reid and Rowan Blanchard share the stage while attending the Teen Vogue Summit LA on Saturday (December 2) in Playa Vista, Calif.

The young co-stars were joined by their A Wrinkle In Time director Ava DuVernay, as well as their co-star Reese Witherspoon‘s daughter Ava Phillippe.

Also in attendance were Yara Shahidi, Aly & AJ, Lilly Singh, Chloe x Halle, and Hillary Clinton.

Yara also interviewed Hillary during a keynote conversation at the event.

“I’m glad that I’m here at 14 saying that it’s not right to inspire other young girls to say ‘it’s not right’ too,” Storm said at the event. “If it’s happening to you, speak up, don’t be afraid. There’s nothing they can do, even if they say they’re going to do something, there’s nothing they can do. You need to speak up, you need to speak out, not only for yourself, but for other young women that feel threatened, not only in this industry, but in other industries.”

Storm Reid is set to star in Disney and Ava DuVernay‘s upcoming adaptation of the classic children’s book, A Wrinkle in Time, according to THR.

The 13-year-old actress may also be starring alongside Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling, who are all in negotiations to join the cast.

A Wrinkle In Time tells the story of a young girl whose scientist father has disappeared. She finds herself on an interplanetary journey to find her father with a classmate and her younger brother. Along the way, the trio are aided by supernatural beings – Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which.
