Landry wrote an emotional message on her Tumblr blog for her fans.
“As some of you may have heard, Best Friends Whenever won’t be going any further. Even though we’ve known this for a couple of months now, it doesn’t make it hurt any less,” she started.
“This show was my high school, the best one a girl could dream of. And even though we’ll all move on to different projects, being able to say I grew up with people is something I’ll forever cherish,” Landry added. “I of course can’t give enough thank you’s to you guys for the constant love – truly. We grew a following from nothing which is very rare for a show with quirky teenagers and special effects to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.”
Another show on Disney Channel is looking to get renewed too — Best Friends Whenever!
With the season finale airing TONIGHT, star Landry Bender, along with the fans, are anxious to see whether the show will get a third season.
“nothing’s official. We’ll find out in the next few months but we’re still all super hopeful for #BFWSeason3 :) xo” she told one fan who asked about the show ending late last month.

It looks like Sebastian is back — and up to no good in sabotaging winter formal for Shelby, Cyd, Naldo, Barry, and Daisy — the girl he was supposed to marry back in the 16th century!
It also looks like the twins, Bret and Chet, are coming to save the day — and that’s one thing we’re definitely looking forward to!

Best Friends Whenever is back tonight with an all new holiday episode called “The Christmas Curse” — and the cast is definitely under one!
Here’s what happens: Shelby (Lauren Taylor) and Cyd (Landry Bender) are excited to plan the annual neighborhood Christmas party, which takes an unexpected turn when Daisy (Bryana Salaz) joins the festivities.
Meanwhile, Barry (Gus Kamp) gets to play Santa Claus after the twins kidnap the other one!
