Speaking with the Express & Star recently, Brad opened up about how the band learned to grow up in the spotlight.
“It’s taken a while to get used to being famous,” he shared. “Me and Connor started the band when we were 15. It’s not just been about The Vamps. Part of the whole thing has been about learning to grow up.”
Brad adds, “It’s been about that as much as it’s been about getting used to being in a band. We’ve had to have time to grow up as people. But everything becomes easier as you get older because you grow more used to it. We’re more comfortable now than we were before, though it took time to change.”
Earlier that day, Tristan and his girlfriend Anastasia Smith announced that had just gotten engaged – Congrats again to the happy couple!

The video shows the story that Brad and Maggie are actually childhood sweethearts and their love story just hasn’t begun yet.
Bradshared about the track: “You kind of get two sides of this story and it’s kind of the story of the guy who thinks that the girl he’s in love with can do better than the guy she’s with. By that, he thinks she should be with him.”
The Vamps and Ella Eyre hit the stage with fire at the 2017 V Festival over the weekend held at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, England.
The two musical acts wowed the crowd with their sets, and Ella even came back for a second day at Cannock.
Backstage at the event, The Vamps lead vocalist Brad Simpson recalled going to his first festival.
“I came here when I was 16, it was my first festival. It was messy and I got sunburnt,” he remembers. “It’s weird coming back and playing, it is kind of like a full circle.”
Brad continued, “I was speaking to my mates who I came to V festival with the other day [and] They were saying it’s mad how we went and now you are playing it – but it’s a good feeling.”
