Brandon Jones, best known for his work on Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars and The Fosters, will be spending a lot of time in jail in the near future.
The 29-year-old actor has been sentenced to 180 days in jail after striking a plea deal in a case that could have left him with five and a half years in jail. He is going to jail for one count of misdemeanor assault with a firearm in his case.
In addition to jail time, Brandon was sentenced to three years of probation, 30 days of community labor, and 26 anger management classes, according to TMZ.
Brandon allegedly pointed a handgun at someone during an argument and his legal team argued that the gun he possessed was fully legal and registered and he felt he was under threat during a dispute with neighbors.
Brandon is best known for his roles as Andrew Campbell on Pretty Little Liars and Liam Olmstead on The Fosters. He also stripped down during a memorable 2 Broke Girls guest appearance.
Pretty Little Liars actor Brandon Jones was charged with assault on Thursday (April 14) after two incidents of pointing a handgun at someone during a dispute.
According to Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the 27-year-old actor “exhibited a hidden handgun” during an argument in October of 2015 in his neighborhood of North Hills, Calif.
Brandon, who played Andrew Campbell on PLL, also allegedly waved a knife and pointed a handgun at someone during a separate incident on March 24 of this year.
“It is our understanding that the gun in Mr. Jones‘ possession was fully legal and registered, that he was on his girlfriend’s private property, and that he and his girlfriend felt that they were under threat in a dispute with neighbors,” his rep told TMZ.
Brandon now faces one felony count of assault and two misdemeanor counts for “exhibiting a deadly weapon and exhibiting a concealable firearm in public,” which could lead to him serving more than five years in state prison. The case is still under investigation.
