Brenda Song‘s upcoming animated series Amphibia has already been renewed for a second season!
The new Disney Channel show hasn’t even premiered on the network, but the news was announced this week during Upfronts week.
“Yay!! So excited! I can’t wait to share this with you guys!!” Brenda excitedly tweeted.
Amphibia premieres on Monday, June 17th on Disney Channel with new episodes daily until Thursday, June 20th, as well as throughout the summer. A series of shorts called “Teen Girl In a Frog World” will also start to roll out on the Disney Channel YouTube page, as well as a brand new role-playing game on the DisneyNOW app.
There are a ton of Disney Channel shows that we’d love to see rebooted, and so would Brenda Song.
The 32-year-old actress, who is making her official return to Disney Channel later this summer in Amphibia, chatted with ET about the possibility of her own two shows, Suite Life of Zack & Cody and The Suite Life on Deck, getting the reboot treatment.
“I was a part of Suite Life, so I can’t say anything,” she shared. However, she knows exactly which show she personally would love to see get a reboot: Lizzie McGuire!
“That’s my favorite show,” Brenda says. “That would make my life because that’s the show I grew up watching.”
Brenda also dished about returning to the channel, saying that “it really does feel good to be back. Especially unveiling such an amazing show that’s so close to my heart. It feels really special.”
“It’s so fun to a play a 13-year-old. It’s literally my voice. I told them, ‘I’m a one-trick pony, this is all you get’ and for some reason they were OK with that. So it’s great. I get to go to work in my pajamas and have a good time.”
The 31-year-old actress stepped out for Disney Channel Fan Fest on Saturday afternoon (April 27) at Disney California Adventure park in Anaheim, Calif.

This makes her fourth wand ID for the network, as the -year-old actress is returning to voice the lead character for animated series, Amphibia.
“It’s good to be back,” she says in the compilation video of all her wand IDs over the years.
Amphibia is the 21st project that Brenda has teamed up with Disney on. Her first ever project for the network was The Ultimate Christmas Present.
