Lucy Hale was one of many who watched the new “Framing Britney Spears” documentary by the New York Times.

The 31-year-old actress took to her Instagram story to share her thoughts on the Britney Spears doc.

“Watched Framing Britney last night & all I can say is we all owe this woman an apology for mocking her emotional pain and trauma all these years,” Lucy wrote. “Britney Spears was my idol growing up & still is in some ways. She was my first viewing of how a woman could be sexy without apologies.”

“this should really make us re-evaluate cancel culture & all the taboos that come along with mental health/illness,” she continued. “Also f-ck all the paparazzi who pushed her to a breakdown. Anyway, I love Brit. Always have. Always will.”

Billie Eilish is expressing her love for Britney Spears!

In a new episode of her Apple Music radio show, me & dad radio, the 18-year-old singer came across a song by the pop star.

“So I’m just playing this playlist on shuffle because I don’t want to have to go through and pick. So I’m just letting my phone decide what’s next. And my phone has decided to play ‘Baby One More Time’ by Britney Spears,” Billie said on her show. “Yeah. This is an incredible song. Dude, this era of Britney was just mind blowing.”

“Shout out to Britney too, because lately, she’s been… Or since I was on Instagram, which was weeks ago now, she posted a couple of videos to my songs and I almost pooped my pants,” she added. “So I love you, Britney. But this one, this is a classic. Everybody knows ‘Baby One More Time’. I used to dance in the living room to this on my tiny little horrible speaker. Let’s go. Let’s go, Britney.”

Billie Eilish has an understanding of what led Britney Spears to her breaking point back in 2007.

The 18-year-old superstar opened up about adjusting to life in the spotlight and how that can be hard on a person’s mental health.

“As a fan growing up, I was always like, What the f**k is wrong with them? All the scandals. The Britney moment. You grow up thinking they’re pretty and they’re skinny; why would they fuck it up?” Billie told Vogue.

She continued, “But the bigger I get, the more I’m like, Oh, my God, of course they had to do that. In my dark places I’ve worried that I was going to become the stereotype that everybody thinks every young artist becomes, because how can they not? Last year, when I was at my lowest point during the tour in Europe, I was worried I was going to have a breakdown and shave my head.”

Thankfully, Billie says she’s in a much better place now.

“When people ask me what I’d say to somebody looking for advice on mental health, the only thing I can say is patience. I had patience with myself. I didn’t take that last step. I waited. Things fade,” Billie explained.

Miley Cyrus is sticking up for fellow ladies.

While performing “Party in the U.S.A.” during her 2019 Beale Street Music Festival set on Saturday afternoon (May 4) in Memphis, Tenn, the 26-year-old singer gave Britney Spears a special shout-out.

When Miley got to the “And a Britney song was on” lyrics, she also shouted “Free Britney!”

If you didn’t know, fans started a #FreeBritney Campaign on Twitter to call for an end to her lifetime conservatorship, which she’s been under since 2008.

Admit it — you’ve always wanted Ed Sheeran to cover a Britney Spears song — and it finally came true!

As part of Spotify’s ‘Singles’ Program, the “Castle on the Hill” singer performed an acoustic cover of “Hit Me Baby One More Time”.

Well, this isn’t the first time Ed‘s covered Britney‘s song. He did it back in 2013, too. Still, we love it!

The “Singles” program has artists record two tracks, which will only be available on Spotify.

The first track is typically a newer song the act is trying to promote, while the second is a cover of anything the artist wants to show their love for.
