Nick Jonas could be heading back to his Broadway roots!

It’s being reported that the 28-year-old entertainer is in talks to play Frankie Valli in an upcoming streaming event of the musical Jersey Boys, according to Deadline.

Here’s a synopsis: They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story — a story that has made them an international sensation all over again.

The upcoming event is said to be similar to that of Hamilton on Disney+.

Nick, who actually started his career on the Great White Way, has previously starred on Broadway in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, as well as Annie Get Your Gun, Les Misérables, A Christmas Carol and Beauty and the Beast. He’s also starred on the West End in Les Misérables, as well as the 25th anniversary concert at the O2 Arena.

Sabrina Carpenter Would Love to Return to 'Mean Girls' On Broadway After Pandemic

Sabrina Carpenter wants to go back to Broadway!

In a new interview, the 21-year-old actress and singer says she would love to reprise the role of Cady Heron in Mean Girls when Broadway is back in action.

If you didn’t know, Sabrina was starring in the show when Broadway shut down due to Coronavirus, and she was only able to perform two shows.

“For my personal situation, not comparing it to the rest of the world, which has also been a huge bummer,” Sabrina told AP. “It was two heavy months of really, really tough rehearsals into going to do two shows, and then having a very long break. Now at this point, I feel for the Broadway community that’s definitely at a stand still for the longest that they’ve ever been.”

“I was just so grateful that I got to even accomplish two shows before that all happened, because that was a really big dream of mine,” she continued. “I hope to go back when everything comes back. Fingers crossed.”

If you missed them, check out the photos from Sabrina‘s opening night, which was her Broadway debut!

Sabrina‘s Work It co-star Jordan Fisher was also starring on Broadway in Dear Evan Hansen when the pandemic hit.

Ahead of her first performance, Sabrina informed fans that she will be unable to meet fans at the stage door due to the Coronavirus outbreak. All Broadway shows have now ended stage door activities until the outbreak is contained.

“Due to health precautions, I’m told there will be no stage door for the time being. This is for everyone’s health and safety. I still cannot wait to see you all at the show! Thank you for understanding,” Sabrina wrote on Instagram.

Not only are Broadway shows halting stage door activities, actors are not allowed to have their personal guests backstage at this time.
