The K-pop group were the musical act all week on the late night talk show.

During their week-long residency, BTS also talked with host Jimmy Fallon about their new album, what they were like in high school, played a couple of games, including “Dance Your Feelings” and “Zoom Olympics,” and did a performance of “Dynamite” with Jimmy and The Roots.

For their musical acts, the guys performed their songs “Idol,” “Home,” “Black Swan,” “Mikrokosmos” and “Dynamite.”

BTS recently opened up about their decision to donate to Black Lives Matter, which sparked their BTS Army to match their donation and also raise over $1 million for the movement.

“When we’re abroad or in other situations, we’ve also been subjected to prejudice,” Jin told Variety. “We feel that prejudice should not be tolerated; it really has no place. We started to discuss what we could do to help, whether it was a donation or something else. That’s where the conversation began — just trying to see what we could do to try to alleviate this prejudice.”

“We were aware of the fans, the hashtags and their participation. It was a decision we thought about very carefully: what could we do, as part of our overall message of speaking out against prejudice and violence? We discussed it very carefully with the company and that’s how this came about,” RM added.

“We always want to do what we can to make it a better world, whether in Korea or elsewhere, and go in as much of a positive direction as we can, whether through our music or charity,” j-hope said.

BTS Tried To Translate 'Dynamite' To Korean But It Didn't 'Work Out Really Well'

BTS Tried To Translate 'Dynamite' To Korean But It Didn't 'Work Out Really Well'

BTS is opening up about making their first all-English track “Dynamite“!

In a new interview, the guys dished on how they actually didn’t fully intend for it to be an English only song.

“When we first listened to the ‘Dynamite’ demo, I actually tried different titles or lyrics in Korean,” RM told Variety. “I tried to write some rap on that track, but nothing worked out really well. So, ok, well, why not keep it this way? Let’s give it a shot! It’s 2020, why not do some crazy things?”

Jungkook added that the experience of recording and singing in only English was quite different.

“It was an unfamiliar experience to record and sing this song in English. We had to practice the pronunciation a lot to try and make sure that the feel and emotions of the lyrics were really reflected when we sang it,” he said. “We translated the lyrics into Korean and read them very carefully. We thought about what they meant in Korean as we recorded them into English.”

“Pop music in English is really what we grew up listening to. English songs are not something unfamiliar to us — we are used to them,” J-Hope added. “But the feelings that go into writing songs in English is very different from what goes into writing them in Korean, so this was still something new. It required a lot of work, especially on the pronunciation, and a lot of practice.”

BTS will be on The Tonight Show all this week, stay tuned for their first performance. In the meantime, you can check out their Tiny Desk concert again right here!
