5 Seconds Of Summer pose for a fun picture with some fans at the Vegemite BeatTheMiteyDrum Event held at Chiswick restaurant on Vegemite Day (Wednesday, June 15) in Sydney, Australia.
“We do a meet and greet every single day while we are on the road, so it is just tough,” Michael shared. “What happened was the worst thing that could have ever happened…It is our job, you have to meet your fans, play shows and entertain people, it’s just kinder what we do.”
He continued, “We have a really good security team for our safety. I think if we were in an unsafe situation they would realise pretty quickly.”
Luke added, “We are usually pulled out of stuff right away if things are getting too intense.”

Bandmate Ashton wrote on Twitter later, “Sometimes you gotta cool the crowd down… see you tonight Stockholm… Xx.”
