Alexa and Carlos PenaVega arrive at the dance studio with big smiles on their faces on Wednesday afternoon (September 23) in Los Angeles.
The married couple met up with their partners Witney Carson and Mark Ballas to get started on their next dances.
“What a blast this all was. I have an amazing parter who pushes me and believes in me… And an incredible husband who lifts me up and fills me with love and strength! I had the chance to pray with both of these amazing men before our performances last night. God is at the center of everything we do. He is our foundation,” Alexa shared on WhoSay before Tuesday’s Dancing With The Stars show.
She added, “I am so thankful to be given this incredible opportunity surrounded by people I love. We can’t take anything for granted. Last night we already had to say goodbye to one of our #DWTS contestants and tonight another goes home as well. I just need to say… I’m so proud of every single person on this show!!! Everyone works hard and gives it their all!!! We have created our own little family and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!”

How amazing were Alexa and Carlos PenaVega on this week’s Dancing With The Stars?
Alexa, 27, and her pro partner Mark Ballas earned a 24 for their salsa, and 22 for their rumba. Carlos, 26, and pro partner Witney Carson took 24 for their foxtrot, and 21 for their cha-cha.
“Rehearsals have been intense since we’re learning twice the dances in half the time. And I’m feeling it. I’m tired. I’m really tired,” Alexa wrote in the couple’s blog. “I’m praying for supernatural strength because I think that is the only thing that will get me through these next two days.”
Carlos added, “My legs have seen better days. It has been a crazy week. For the first show, we had weeks to learn one dance. This week, we had four days to learn two dances before camera blocking. My head is kind of exploding trying to retain all this choreography. I’m literally confusing the two dances and combining them when we are rehearsing.”

The pair performed a really impressive Cha Cha and received 21 points for it!
The night before, Carlos and Witney brought in 24 points for their romantic Foxtrot!

The husband and wife Dancing With The Stars competitors opened up about competing against each on the show in their weekly blog for People.
“I didn’t really realize how competitive my husband was until we started doing this show,” Alexa admitted. “He kept trying to compare our dances, and I had to keep reminding him that every teacher and every song is going to make the dances different. His jive has a very classical feel to it, and mine is a lot more edgy.”
Carlos added, “I have found that I am more competitive than I thought, but I wasn’t worried about having to compete against my wife. The main thing that concerned me was the fact that Lex was going to potentially have another guy groping her on the dance floor for the next three months. I wasn’t sure I could handle that.”
