Charlie White and pro partner Sharna Burgess meet up at the dance studio to keep working on their semi-final dances in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (May 8).
The team will be performing a Foxtrot and Samba for next week’s show.
Recently speaking with People mag, Charlie opened up about his lifelong battle with asthma.
“I’ve always had to train harder than others to get the oxygen to my muscles because of my lung capacity,” Charlie shared. “I have to push myself past the point of being comfortable.”
He continued, “Being an athlete in a cold weather sport is really difficult to deal with the asthma. When you use the inhaler it has a little bit of synthetic adrenaline in it, and it kind of gets you going. But in a sport like figure skating where you want to be very under control, you have to find a great balance between being able to breathe enough and feeling like you’re yourself.”

Charlie White heads to his car after a successful day of Dancing With The Stars rehearsals on Tuesday afternoon (May 6) in Hollywood.
The 26-year-old Olympic athlete, who was soon followed out by his figure skating partner Meryl Davis, recently opened up about whether the duo would vie for the next Olympic games.

“We haven’t decided. Meryl and I want to take some time after this craziness of Stars on Ice and Dancing with the Stars to vacation, unwind and just come terms with the fact that we are Olympic champion,” Charlie told the Star Tribune. “We haven’t had a minute to think about it [and want to] before we decide what to do next. Four years is such a commitment and we certainly understand having gone through two Olympics already. But it is exciting. It’s an exciting life and we do love to train.”

Earlier in the night, the 26-year-old Olympic gold medalist earned his first perfect score with pro partner Sharna Burgess for their stunning Quickstep.
“I’m so overwhelmed with all of your amazing support & love 4 @CharlieaWhite & I I’ve read all your tweets and will reply soon! Thank u from the bottom of my heart. I love you all and you are the reason we have made it this far. We will make you proud again this week coming,” Sharna tweeted after the night was done.
Later on, Charlie and girlfriend Tanith Belbin headed out to Mixology with the rest of the DWTS cast.

The team will be dancing a Quickstep for next week’s show before going head to head on a Contempory dance with Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas in a Dance Duel.
“I think that she’s been really impressed. I think she loves seeing me have such a great time,” Charlie dished to Parade about girlfriend Tanith Belbin. “It’s an amazing experience and her and Sharna have become close. She’s really grateful that I got such an amazing partner, someone with such patience that can make me look like a pretty good dancer. So she’s been enjoying herself.”
He added, “I think there was one cutaway where [judge] Carrie Ann gave me a lower score and the camera goes straight to Tanith and she’s just shaking her head [laughs], but she’s enjoying the show and is going to try and come out a few more times.”
