Cher Lloyd sets off ‘sirens’ on stage during her performance at G-A-Y nightclub in London on Saturday night (July 19).
“UK! Can’t wait to perform at G-A-Y tonight!!! Last chance to preorder Sirens before it’s released #GladToBeBackUK,” the 20-year-old singer tweeted just before packing the crowd at the club.
“People think I’m young because I’m just 20, but where I come from it’s normal to get married at 16,” Cher reflected on her marriage to Craig Monk in a recent interview.
She added, “I wanted a quiet wedding, we both did. It was just very low-key. I wanted to keep it as private as possible so it was just about us and our closest friends and families.”
“I felt that I wasn’t good enough and had self-confidence issues. Everyone was saying ‘you should wear this’, and it was confusing,” Cher said about her evolving fashion style to Wonderland mag (via Mail Online).
She added: “I was OK before � I was the sort of girl who didn’t really care what people thought of me, so to be put in that position on the show was quite difficult. I’m 21 very soon, so I’ve grown up at lot since I was 16!”

The 20-year-old “Sirens” singer is out promoting her new album of the same name which drops next week in England. Earlier in the day, Cher also stopped by BBC Breakfast.
“For me it was a platform. A lot of people say it’s a shortcut to short success, but I look at it that you only get back what you put into it,” Cher shared with The Guardian about using X Factor as a jumping ground.
She continued, “You can’t just sit there and expect things to happen. I was so young when I went on the show and I’ve always wanted to do this but I didn’t have a clue about it. I used to sit in my bedroom and think that all of my favourite pop stars go on stage, they sing and then they do other normal stuff. I didn’t know what goes on or what you let yourself in for.”

Speaking with Metro, Cher opened up about starting a family with her husband Craig Monk before they honeymoon.
“It has been non-stop for the last two years. The only thing I was able to do for myself in that time was to get married � and I was only given two days to do that. When my mum and dad got married they never had a honeymoon. And then there was us four kids and then we all went on holiday together and that was kind of classed as their honeymoon,” she shared.
Cher added, “I wouldn’t mind doing that. I would like to wait until we have a kid. And I can take it with me. I cannot wait. It’s something that I’m really looking forward to and it’s a very rewarding thing. It’s important for me to have a really good family.”
