Melissa Benoist said “I do” to her Supergirl co-star Chris Wood!
The 30-year-old actress and 31-year-old actor got married at a private estate in Ohai, California on Sunday (September 1).
“It was a beautiful setting for a wedding very peaceful and quiet,” a source told E! News. “The vows were brief and lasted about 15 minutes. There was lots of cheering and applause as it ended.”
“There were lots of glowing candles and lights strung above,” the source said of the reception, which took place in a nearby grove of trees. “The food was served family style and everyone passed the dishes back and forth.”
“It looked like an elegant outdoor dinner party. There was a lot of laughter and happiness,” the insider added.
The pair announced their engagement a few months ago. Congrats to the happy couple on the wonderful news!

The Supergirl castmates teamed up for the event held at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres on Thursday (August 8) in Hollywood.
They were joined by This Is Us‘s Jennifer Morrison and film producer Andrew Carlberg.
Melissa donned a graphic t-shirt with a denim jacket, a black skirt, and strappy black heels, while Chris paired his black suit with a white shirt and sneakers. They were at the event to support the short film The Stew, which Chris wrote and directed and Melissa starred in.
This marks Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood‘s first official appearance since getting engaged in February.

The longtime couple, who starred as on-screen couple Kara and Mon-El on Supergirl, just revealed their engagement to fans on social media.
“The happiest. ♥️,” Chris captioned a pic of the two on his feed, showing off Melissa‘s gorgeous ring.
Melissa added on her own account with the same pic, “yes yes yes it will always be yes♥️.”
Just moments later, Chris teased that their upcoming nuptials would be “soon”.
Melissa was previously married to Blake Jenner. They divorced in 2017.

Kai might actually be the next former Vampire Diaries character to pop up on Legacies!
In the first half of the debut season, fans have seen Zach Roerig, Steven R. McQueen and even Jodi Lyn O’Keefe pop up on the show, and showrunner Julie Plec revealed that she does have plans for Kai, played by Chris Wood, to return someday.

“I have big plans for [Kai's return] in my head,” she dished to TV Guide in a recent interview.
However, while she has the plans, don’t get your hopes up too high to see them happen.
She added, “Even if they never make it to the screen, I have massive plans.”
Still, we’d like to know what these plans entail.
Legacies will return in late January on The CW.

Melissa was recently seen on the set of the upcoming Arrowverse crossover on Tuesday (October 23). The crossover, titled Elseworlds, will also introduce Ruby Rose as Batwoman to the franchise.
