In the video, Lalaine wears one of her famous hats from her days of filming Lizzie McGuire, and the duo make Christy Carlson Romano‘s family’s famous spaghetti and meatballs recipe – also a dish featured in Lizzie McGuire.
The two discuss funny moments from filming, what it’s like still getting recognized by fans, some of their proudest moments, and more.
The actress – with some help from former co-stars Lauren Frost, who played Ren’s BFF Ruby, and George Anthony Bell, who played Principal Wexler – recreated the performance in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
If you recall, the musical number was performed in season two’s iconic “Influenza: The Musical” episode in 2002.
They’re joined by a classroom full of dancers in Christy‘s living room.
As Christy Carlson Romano said in the caption of the video, “Good luck getting this bop out of your head!” Watch it now.
The actors, who voiced Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable on the Disney Channel series Kim Possible from 2002-2007, teamed up for a video that Christy recently shared on her YouTube channel.
In it, the duo show fans how to make the famous Naco (nachos + taco) from the show, and they recreate one of their favorite scenes.
They also discuss their time working together on the series, as well as Boy Meets World, Even Stevens, Big Hero 6, and more.
Plus, Will Friedle sings the “Naked Mole Rap,” and Christy Carlson Romano tries to sing “Say the Word.”
The 34-year-old actress, who voiced Kim in the animated series, plays pop star Poppy Blue in the live-action film.
“She’s got this whole Gaga-esque persona and she’s this larger-than-life pop star. She is sort of a throwback to, when we were doing the first couple of episodes, there was a pop star that picks up Kim in a private jet,” Christy told ET.
She added, “Not only is it that it’s that throwback to some of the original episodes, [but also] I could kind of like be a part of that and feel kind of plugged in and connected…So it’s kind of like an Easter egg. I think [fans will] be happy in general!”
The two actresses, who have both played and voiced Kim, chatted with THR about the flick, and how Kim is still the best role model out there.
“I think it’s true to who Kim should be in the live action,” Christy says of the type of person Kim becomes in the live action film.
She adds that she tried to wait to the premiere to watch the movie, but caved and saw it a few days before.
“It’s great, guys,” Christy boasts. “It’s really fun. It’s so vibrant…Adam [B. Stein] and Zach [Lipovsky, directors] did such a fantastic job. They are so dedicated to the world of KP.”
Sadie Stanley, Ciara Wilson and Sean Giambrone brave the cold temps outside to take a pic in Times Square in New York City on Thursday afternoon (January 31).
Joined by Taylor Ortega and Todd Stashwick, the group took a pic in front of the Disney Store ahead of meeting kids and families for an autograph signing.
Earlier, Christy Carlson Romano opened up about choosing not to give any advice to Sadie about playing the title character in Kim Possible.
“Out of respect to the directors and also to the process of a young actress, Sadie, learning about what her interpretation of Kim was, I chose not to be vocal about anything in particular with what I would think or would do or say,” she shared with EW.
“It wasn’t my place to overstep and try to be a control freak. I wanted them to experience Kim for how they saw her.”
However, Christy was happy to be a part of the movie in a different way, as Poppy Blu.
“I thought it was really fun that they asked me to be that cameo, but I kind of look at it as a character,” she adds. “When I approached Poppy Blu, I wasn’t just playing it as Christy Romano, I really approached her as a character. I’m going to be very transparent in that I hope Poppy Blu comes back.”
