Showrunner Joe Pokaski chatted with TV Guide recently about what season two will bring fans and how Tandy and Tyrone are embracing their hero roles.
“If Season 1 was a call to action, we’ve answered it by the end of that season,” he shared. “Now in Season 2, we really want to focus on the question of what kind of hero, what kind of vigilante are they going to be?”
He added, “We see, very early on in the season, Tandy and Tyrone trying their own brand of vigilante justice. And then we very quickly put in a complication with them and recalibrate what’s right and wrong in terms of taking justice into your own hand.”
The 33-year-old actress, who plays Mina Hess on the show, shared a fun throwback pic in anticipation of the new season.
“Less than a month until @cloakanddaggertv season 2 drops. ARE YOU READY? This was a pic from my very first fitting for Mina…I had no idea at that point what an amazing ride I was in for. I remember walking in the costume dept and hearing well we have 5 different styles of waders to try on for the swamp stuff you ready? Making WADERS FASHUN. 😂 #cloakanddagger,” she captioned the snap. Well, that day is still far away, but there could be mentions of certain characters on both series.
While speaking to ComicBook.com, head of Marvel TV Jeph Loeb, says there may be name dropping on the shows.
“[Runaways] can reference the rest of the world, but it’s true to teenagers — they’re not interested in what Tony Stark [Robert Downey Jr.] is doing this week or what Matt Murdock [Charlie Cox] is doing this week, but they might be interested in a couple of kids who live down in New Orleans and what’s going on there,” he shared, referencing Tandy Olivia Holt and Tyrone (Aubrey Joseph).
We’ll just have to wait and see if that happens.
In the meantime, check out the trailer for Runaways‘ upcoming season two which will debut on Hulu in December.
