Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is out in theaters NOW – and the soundtrack is also available to stream!

The new movie adaptation of the bestselling book series by Bernard Waber, stars Constance Wu, Javier Bardem, Winslow Fegley and Shawn Mendes as the voice of Lyle.

For the soundtrack, Shawn penned original songs for the movie alongside Grammy, Tony and Oscar winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who have written music for La La Land, The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen.

Shawn Mendes and Constance Wu pose for photos together at the premiere of their new movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Sunday (October 2) in New York City.

The two were joined by their co-stars Winslow Fegley, Lyric Hurd and Scoot McNairy, as well as directors Will Speck and Josh Gordon.

There was even a life size version of Lyle in attendance!

Lyle Lyle Crocodile is set to debut in theaters this Friday (October 7), and follows the Primm family as they move to New York City, where their Josh (Fegley) struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle – a singing crocodile (voiced by Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and great music-living in the attic of his new home.

The full trailer for Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile has arrived on Wednesday (September 7)!

The new trailer features the singing voice of Shawn Mendes as the title character Lyle, in the live-action/CGI musical comedy based on the bestselling book series by Bernard Waber.

Also starring in the movie are Winslow Fegley, Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Scoot McNairy and Brett Gelman.

The first teaser trailer for the upcoming Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile big screen adaptation is here!

Shawn Mendes voices the titular character, who is CGI animated alongside live-action.

Javier Bardem, Constance Wu, Winslow Fegley, Scoot McNairy and Brett Gelman also star in the upcoming musical comedy, based on the book series by Bernard Waber.

Winslow Fegley wears a blue hoodie while filming new scenes for his upcoming movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile on Wednesday (September 29) in New York City.

The 12-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Javier Bardem and Constance Wu as they were all decked out in Florida Gators gear.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is based on the book of the same name, and follows Lyle, a crocodile, who enjoys all his neighbors, expect for one – the one that insists he belongs in a zoo. Mr. Grumps and his cat, Loretta, don’t like crocodiles, and everything Lyle does to win them over seems to go wrong. Javier will play Lyle.

Winslow and Constance were seen filming scenes last week in the city.

If you missed it, Winslow recently had a movie premiere on Netflix – Nightbooks.

Earlier this year, Javier wrapped filming on the upcoming live action The Little Mermaid, where he’s set to portray King Triton. The movie was recently given a release date!

Winslow Fegley and Constance Wu are hard at work on Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile!

The 12-year-old Nightbooks star and the Fresh Off the Boat actress were photographed on the set of their new film in New York City on Wednesday (September 22).

Winslow stepped out in a a bright red rain jacket, brown pants and sneakers for his scenes, while Constance opted for a burgundy wool coat, blue sweater and dark purple pants.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is based on the book of the same name that was first published in 1965.

The book centers on Lyle, a crocodile, who enjoys all his neighbors, expect for one – the one that insists he belongs in a zoo. Mr. Grumps and his cat, Loretta, don’t like crocodiles, and everything Lyle does to win them over seems to go wrong.

Javier Bardem is set to play the title character in the movie.
