The 15-year-old singer (who you know from season 13 of America’s Got Talent) takes on Lil Nas X‘s “Old Town Road” for a brand new video and it’s so outrageously good!
“I found ‘Old Town Road’ soon after it was released, and I knew I had to cover it my own way,” Courtney shared about the cover. “I had this other version stuck in my head and I wanted to get it out there for everyone to hear.”
She added, “It was so much fun putting my own spin. Nit and now it’s probably one of my favourite covers that I’ve done.”
From the moment Courtney Hadwin stepped onto the America’s Got Talent stage last year, she blew us away, and she’s doing it again with her insane cover of “Sucker” by The Jonas Brothers.
The new cover is part of the 15-year-old singer’s series of covers, which she’ll be dropping throughout all of August.
Speaking with People, the two singers opened up about how they struck up a friendship after Courtney‘s debut during season 13 of the show, and then while filming AGT The Champions season.
“Courtney and I actually became really good friends,” Darci shared. “We hung out a lot. She’s really, really sweet. She’s an amazing singer, she’s incredible.”
She added, “It was nice to get to know her and it was fun hanging out with her and we always played the card game, Uno. She’s really fun and to hang out with her was really fun.”
“I’m constantly talking to Darci Lynne,” Courtney shared.
So cool!
And while Darci Lynne and Courtney didn’t make it to the final (yet), they’re not mad about it at all.
“It’s insane how good she is,” Darci shared about Cristina Ramos, who made it to the final.

I can’t thank them enough for giving me this chance.”

The 14-year-old British singer recently chatted with Good Housekeeping about stepping up her performances week by week and which other act she’s gotten really close with.
“It’s been really nerve-wracking as I want to give my best performance,” Courtney shared. “But I’m still having fun at the same time.”
Courtney adds that she now shares a really tight bond with fellow contestants We Three.
“I really have become close to We Three. They’re like a second family to me,” Courtney adds. “[Also] all the judges have been really nice and supportive.”
