Dakota Fanning meets up with fellow actress Rowan Blanchard while attending a launch party for H&M’s Conscious Exclusive collection on Wednesday (March 27) in Los Angeles.
There were a bunch of celebs at the event, including Camila Morrone, Irina Shayk, Abigail Spencer, Alek Wek, Amber Valletta, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inanna Sarkis, and Halima Aden.
The new Conscious Exclusive collection explores the healing power of nature, while also embracing innovation with sustainable materials and processes for a more sustainable fashion future. The collection launches on April 11.
“The more people that get on board with making their clothes sustainably, [the more will] realize it doesn’t have to look like a plant to be made from a plant. … It doesn’t have to look or feel weird to be made from something that is ‘weird,’” Dakota told THR.

On not getting a part on Friends and then refusing to watch sister Dakota Fanning on the show: “I had an [audition] to be on Friends once. I might be remembering this wrong but I think I was gonna be one of Phoebe’s triplets. I auditioned for it but I didn’t get it and I was like, ‘I’m boycotting the show, I’m never watching this again.’ Then my sister was on it [Dakota appeared in the final series] and I refused to watch the episode. I was like, ‘I am not watching this!’”
On how she grew up ‘play acting’ with Dakota: “My sister and I would play these elaborate scenes around the house. Like birthing scenes… I would be the baby, coming out… Crazy stuff like that. We were doing it for ourselves; we weren’t, like, ‘Oh, Mom and Dad, sit down and we’re gonna perform for you.’ That was how we played.”
On how she hopes Aurora in Maleficent is a positive role model, and why it’s OK to embrace femininity: “I want Aurora to be a character that [girls] can look up to, who’s strong and all that. But Angelina [Jolie] and I were talking about this: Maleficent, of course, has the dark side, and Aurora is the one who loves pink and is the light and she’s not afraid to be feminine. I think it’s beautiful that I get to represent [someone] who is strong in her beliefs, but is also unwavering in staying true to herself. I wear dresses the whole time throughout the film… I don’t have a moment where I burst into armor, you know what I mean? There’s nothing wrong with loving your feminine side. I think as women we should really love that part of us.”

Elle was all smiles while heading out of a hotel on Thursday (January 10) in New York City.
The Galveston star was seen staying warm in a neon green Fiorucci beanie with a long black coat, a blue scarf, black tights, and black flats, carrying a beige purse.
Meanwhile, Dakota was spotted hitting the gym in Los Angeles.
The Alienist actress donned a grey sports bra with matching leggings and pink and white slides, carrying a towel and a black and gold purse.
After celebrating New Year’s Eve together, the duo took to Instagram to congratulate Lady Gaga and Glenn Close following the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

Dakota Fanning gives off major Cinderella vibes at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 6) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 24-year-old actress donned a gorgeous Armani Privé light blue dress for the annual ceremony, where her series, The Alienist, is up for Best Miniseries or Television Film.

Dakota and Elle Fanning had a great time celebrating New Year’s Eve!
The actress-sisters both took to Instagram on Monday night (December 31) to share a couple photos from their party.
In the photo posted by the 20-year-old Maleficent actress, she went glam in a black dress while sticking her tongue out as the 24-year-old actress – donning a navy cocktail dress – sipped on a glass of champagne.
In Dakota‘s post, the sisters posed above a luxurious bathtub while Elle cuddled up to a mini statue.
