There’s another Vampire Diaries & Originals crossover on the way!
Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Finn (Caspar Zafer) will head to Mystic Falls and run into a familiar face in the April 8 episode of The Originals, titled “Behind the Black Horizon.”
“[I] know the fans – they love the shared universe and they love to see that these characters still interact in the same big wide world and if Matt (Zach Roerig) is interacting with Elijah – that’s a reminder that these characters still function in the same place,” executive producer Michael Narducci told Access Hollywood. “For me, as a creator, what’s really exciting is that Matt was the one who killed Finn in Season 3 with a white oak stake and so now it’s Finn, who has recently been brought back through magic to rejoin his family, [who] is coming face-to-face with the guy who killed him. And I think that that’s interesting and it’s also interesting as a reminder that even though he’s just a human being, Matt Donovan’s a tough guy who, when push comes to shove, given the right weapons, can even take down an Original, so I thought that was pretty cool.”

Everyone rise for a standing ovation for Phoebe Tonkin‘s Damn Daniel parody.
The 26-year-old Originals actress played on the trending Vine star with a collage of photos with another Daniel – her handsome co-star, Daniel Gillies.

Josh Wiggins gets a sloppy kiss from his furry co-star Jagger at the premiere of Max held at the Egyptian Theatre on Tuesday night (June 23) in Los Angeles.
The 16-year-old actor was also joined by his co-stars Lauren Graham, Luke Kleintank, Dejon LaQuake and Mia Xitlali.
Daniel Gillies and his wife actress Rachael Leigh Cook, Hayden Byerly, Karan Brar, Jack Griffo and Dog With A Blog‘s Francesca Capaldi also hit the red carpet.
In the flick, when a US marine dog handler (Robbie Amell) is killed in the line of duty, his service dog, Max, is so traumatized by the loss that he’s unable to work with any other handler. The marine’s grieving family adopts Max, and so follows a difficult bonding between the dog and the family’s young son (Josh Wiggins), who must overcome his own loss while learning how to relate to the dog in order to help him recover.
Max opens in theaters on Friday, June 26th.

Ian Somerhalder has some fun with the audience at Bloody Night Con 3 on Saturday (May 30) at The Egg Gallery in Brussels, Belgium.
The 36-year-old actor was joined on stage by Daniel Gillies. Other members of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals family in attendance were Kat Graham, Michael Malarkey, and Chris Wood.

While in Paris last week, Ian asked his fans outside his hotel to give him one day of privacy and not ask him to take photos. When a video surfaced, he faced some criticism for not being accommodating with the fans and now he’s released an apology.
“Looking at the world through my eyes and always trying to see it through yours. I see you. I see all of you and find great beauty in each set of eyes. Anyone who knows me understands that I spend a great deal of my life with our fans. Our audience. The people that make this show and ISF happen- all with hearts, minds bodies and souls. It blows my mind that a man who tried to love so much, a man asking for one day, just one day to have a quiet walk down the street is so upsetting to people,” Ian said on Instagram. “So much love to you all… Goodnight and thank you.”
