Darby Camp stars in the new Disney movie The Slumber Party and opened up about her experience filming with JJJ!
The 16-year-old actress, well known for roles in Clifford the Big Red Dog, Big Little Lies and The Christmas Chronicles, can be seen in the role of Megan, who is a sweet and anxious overthinker determined to have an epic night celebrating her best friend’s birthday slumber party.
In The Slumber Party, we see the hilarious aftermath of a sleepover birthday party hypnotism gone wrong as best friends Megan and Paige, along with soon-to-be step-sister Veronica, wake up with absolutely no memory of the night before. Now, they must retrace their steps to find missing birthday girl Anna Maria.
We recently spoke with Darby and got the scoop on what it was like working on the new movie, the behind-the-scenes antics, working with a cast her own age and more.

Disney Branded Television is teaming up with Imagine Kids+Family for the new movie The Slumber Party!
They will adapt the original movie, which is based on the teen novel “The Sleepover” by Jen Malone.
Production on the pic kicked off TODAY (September 27) in Atlanta, with quite the young cast, which includes Clifford the Big Red Dog‘s Darby Camp, Raven’s Home‘s Emmy Liu-Wang and Avatar: The Last Airbender‘s Dallas Liu.
The movie based on the popular children’s books by Norman Bridwell was just released a couple of weeks ago, and it is already looking to bring fans a sequel, THRreports.
Darby Camp wears red once again while stepping out at the Empire State Building on Friday (November 5) in New York City.
The 14-year-old actress was joined by her Clifford the Big Red Dog co-stars Izaac Wang, Jack Whitehall and Tony Hale as they lit up the building “Clifford Red” in celebration of their upcoming movie.

The young stars joined actors Jack Whitehall and Tony Hale at the red carpet premiere for the new movie on Thursday night (November 4) at the Scholastic Building in New York City.
Also at the premiere were cast members Keith Ewell, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Rodriguez, Bear Allen-Blaine, Ty Jones, and Mia Ronn.
Here is the movie’s synopsis: “When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom (Sienna Guillory) is away for business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple.”
Clifford the Big Red Dog will be released in theaters and on Paramount+ on November 10.
