Once upon a time, Darci Lynne Farmer revealed that getting a pug puppy was at the top of her list of things to get if she won America’s Got Talent.

The now 14-year-old ventriloquist and singer won the show, but still has yet to get that pug of her dreams.

“I didn’t buy myself anything yet. I donated $30,000 to my church (Church of the Servant in Oklahoma City). Then I bought my mom a dishwasher, ‘cause that’s what I said I would do,” Darci shared in a recent interview.

She adds that she also “wanted to get a puppy, but then things started getting super, super busy, and I didn’t have a chance. But hopefully we’ll get a puppy — maybe next year. I hope.”

Darci Lynne Farmer‘s Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas is on TONIGHT!!!

The 14-year-old ventriloquist and singer opened up to Parade about the special.

“We filmed part of it here at the Alex Theatre in Los Angeles, and then we filmed the other part of it in Oklahoma because that’s where I live,” Darci dished. “We wanted to incorporate that I celebrate Christmas just like any other kid.”

Besides performing, viewers will also get to see Darci hanging out with her friends and performing at Christmas Eve church services.

“I have the best group of friends ever, so my friends are going to be in it, which is super fun to have them on,” she added. “We always go to church service on Christmas Eve. So, I’m going to sing for my church and the whole congregation’s going to come and be in it.”

Darci‘s puppets – Katie, Petunia, Oscar and Edna - will be part of the special, along with special guests Kristin Chenoweth, Toby Keith, Hunter Hayes, Pentatonix and Lindsey Stirling.

Darci Lynne just released her very first Christmas single!

The 14-year-old singer debuted her cover of “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree”, which she’ll also be singing on her NBC holiday special, Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas.

“I’m SOO excited to share the first song from ‘My Hometown Christmas’ special with you all, ‘Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree’!!,” Darci shared on Twitter with fans.

You’ll get to hear the song on the special, which premieres on Tuesday, December 11th @ 9PM ET/PT on NBC.

Darci will also be hitting the road again in 2019 for her Fresh Out of the Box Tour.

We are so excited to see that Sofie Dossi will be coming back for AGT: The Champions!

The 17-year-old influencer and contortionist finished in the Top 10 during the 2016 season, which Grace VanderWaal won.

Sofie was included in the “first wave” of champs announced to be coming back to the stage, along with 2017 champ Darci Lynne Farmer and 2018 champ Shin Lim.

Former finalists and winners Paul Zerdin, Piff the Magic Dragon, Kechi, Light Balance, Prince Poppycock, The Texas Tenors, Tom Cotter, Taylor Williamson, Tape Face, Billy and Emily England, Sara & Hero, Deadly Games, Uzeyer Novruzov; plus Britain’s Got Talent alums Paul Potts, Attraction, Susan Boyle, and Issy Simpson will all be back.

Ukraine’s Got Talent’s Kseniya Simonova, South Africa’s DJ Arch Jnr, Australia’s Justice Crew, Holland and Belgium’s DDF Crew, and Denmark’s Moonlight Brothers will also hit the stage for the special season.
