The Descendantsco-stars crashed a Zoom reunion of kids from the Leavenworth High Theatre Class.
The students put on the first ever production of Disney’s Descendants: The Musical earlier this year and two of the stars of the movie series surprised them and gave them words of encouragement and advice.
“I’m scrolling through every face here and this is so special. I’m looking at every single one of you and I’m finding this to be like the most incredible, I mean this has made my week, my month. We’re all on the same side at the theater. You have your family, you have your friends, and then a cast is something different,” Dove told them.
“It’s been a really beautiful thing to see that even though we’ve never been more physically isolated, we’ve also in an incredible way have never been more connected. Look at us, when would we have been able to do this? You know, all of us here in this moment,” Sofia said. “And we actually got to see parts of what you guys created for the Descendants musical, and it was really phenomenal. It really blew us away.”
Zac Efron joined the High School Musical cast on the Disney Family Singalong on Thursday night (April 16), though he sadly didn’t sing with them.
The cast reunited to perform the smash hit song “We’re All in This Together” from their own homes. Zac is supposedly quarantined in the “middle of nowhere” with poor WiFi, but he sent in a grainy video that served as an introduction to the performance.
“Hi everyone, I hope that you’re safe and that you’re healthy and that you’re doing as well as possible during these unprecedented times. It’s my greatest pleasure to introduce a musical performance by some of my oldest friends, and some new ones. I hope that you enjoy, and remember, we’re all in this together,” Zac said. He unfortunately didn’t sing with the cast, but you can watch the performance below!
