Kaya Scodelario Dishes On Teresa's [SPOILER] in 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure'

Kaya Scodelario Dishes On Teresa's [SPOILER] in 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure'

SPOILERS AHEAD – DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE MOVIE, OR DON’T WANT TO KNOW!

If you were one of the many who headed to the movies this weekend to watch Maze Runner: The Death Cure, you know that Kaya Scodelario‘s character, Teresa, falls to her death.

Speaking with Teen Vogue, Kaya opened up about wrapping up Teresa’s story and how she liked doing the stunt leading to it.

“I don’t think I’ve ever died on-screen before. I think it’s my first time,” she recalls. “I thought it was really cool. It was also, for me, a bit of a stunt.”

She continues, “Since having my baby, I was really nervous about whether I’d feel brave enough to do stuff like that anymore and I’m really glad I did, kinda overcame the fear of that. Getting to do a full drop, it was cool for me. [But] it looks so great, it was so well-coordinated.”

Kaya adds that Teresa’s death wrapped up everything for her in saying goodbye to the franchise as well.

“I think from a character point of view, a really nice way to tie it up,” she shared. “[Otherwise] you think, ‘Oh God, are they going to do another one? Is that why they’re still here?’ I really like that with Teresa, there is such a birth, a middle, and an ending to her. I really like that.”

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is out in theaters now.

The 'Maze Runner' Cast Reveal If They Stalk Social Media For Fan Reviews of the Film

The 'Maze Runner' Cast Reveal If They Stalk Social Media For Fan Reviews of the Film

You ever head to social media before you go see a movie for reviews, just to see if it’s worth your while to even go? The stars of Maze Runner: The Death Cure do…and don’t.

Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Dexter Darden and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who are celebrating the release of the final movie in theaters today, all recently chatted Teen Vogue and admitted that some of them do go online to see fans’ reactions to the flick.

“I’m honestly scared of it,” Kaya, who plays Teresa, said.

Dexter definitely checks them out: “You get flooded with tweets and Instagram posts.”

“The Maze Runner fandom is definitely a thing. They love the books and they love the characters and they love the movies,” he adds. “Like Thomas said, try to go with differentiating the two. But the fans are so supportive and they’ve done nothing but show love for these movies and we hope that it continues for the third one.”

And one time, Dylan was sucked in by a really funny reaction to not the movie, but the trailer!

“I remember seeing some of the trailer reactions [on YouTube], those were super funny,” he says. “I watched one that Wes [Ball, director], I think, retweeted or something. And then it led me on this train of watching a bunch of them because they were cracking me up.”

Dylan O'Brien's 'Maze Runner' Co-Stars Think He'd Be The Perfect 'Nightwing'

Dylan O'Brien's 'Maze Runner' Co-Stars Think He'd Be The Perfect 'Nightwing'

Dylan O’Brien had no idea who Nightwing was until this moment — and his Maze Runner co-stars are pretty confident that he’d be perfect for the role.

In a new interview with CinemaBlend, Dexter Darden (who plays Frypan in Maze Runner) explains to Dylan what the movie/comic is all about.

“He would be so good…,” Dexter says of Dylan, before explaining the concept.

“So what happens is, Batman ages out unfortunately, in Gotham, and Robin just kind of grows up and just has the same resources, but a little bit more of a badass kind of edge to him…” he adds. “Nightwing is essentially a 25- to like 30-year-old Robin, and he’s got this sick blue one-piece outfit. Blue, black, and he’s dope.”

And it looks like Dylan is on board, with the boast from Dexter.

The actor, and his co-stars, are all looking back on their original auditions and opening up about how they really felt about it.

For Dexter – he thought his was completely awful.

“I remember calling my agent and being like ‘This is the worst day. I had the worst audition of my life’,” he remembers. “Then, the next day I get called and she said, ‘So, Maze Runner‘. I was like ‘Yea, it was awful.’”

Keegan Allen is Truly Grateful For Playing Toby on 'Pretty Little Liars'

Keegan Allen and his BFF for life Brett Dier had possibly the best time at the Nintendo booth at E3 Gaming Convention in Los Angeles this week.

The two actors checked out the new games, alongside Jordan Fisher, Garrett Clayton and Maze Runner‘s Dexter Darden.

In a recent interview, Keegan opened up about the impact playing Toby Cavanaugh on Pretty Little Liars has had on him.

“Every time I meet fans on the street or out or at any of these events…, it’s always my opportunity to thank people for believing in the character and allowing me to have that avenue to continue to create art around me,” he shared.

Keegan adds, “I think without Pretty Little Liars it would have been a little bit of a different path to create. It’s been really, really wonderful and incredible.”
