Supergirl's Sixth Season Pushed Back To Midseason Due To Melissa Benoist's Pregnancy

Supergirl's Sixth Season Pushed Back To Midseason Due To Melissa Benoist's Pregnancy

The schedule for the 2020/2021 season for The CW was announced today (May 14) and there was one show missing from the lineup.

Supergirl has been put on hold a bit longer, due in part to star Melissa Benoist‘s pregnancy, THR reports.

The series is being pushed to premiere mid-season, whenever that happens in 2021, to allow time for Melissa to return after maternity leave.

Taking Supergirl‘s Sunday night time slot is Charmed‘s third season. The reboot is returning to it’s original time, Sunday nights at 9/8c.

Other shows returning mid-season include fellow DC Comic/Arrowverse title DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dynasty, In the Dark and Roswell, New Mexico, as well as new series Kung Fu and Republic of Sarah.

Fallon Gets a Surprise Bachelorette Party On Tonight's 'Dynasty' Season Finale

Fallon Gets a Surprise Bachelorette Party On Tonight's 'Dynasty' Season Finale

Things are getting a little fun and steamy on tonight’s season finale of Dynasty!

In “My Hangover’s Arrived”, it’s time for Fallon’s (Liz Gillies) surprise Bachelorette Party and things go exactly as one would expect – in the world of Carrington.

Liz previously opened up about where the Dynasty season would end, since they had to cut filming short.

“It was right in the middle of our last day of episode 20, but it’s a 22 episode season, so there is no finale at this juncture, and there is no episode before the finale,” she said on the Zach Sang Show. “It ends in a very weird place. I don’t know what that means for Netflix or for anything, but I know we’re not the only show experiencing this.”

“I don’t know if we’ll pick up the finale later, I’m not sure what the plan is. It certainly shouldn’t end on the episode we finished, because it’s just really random and nothing’s resolved. I apologize if it does,” Liz continued.

Tune in to the season finale of Dynasty TONIGHT (May 8) at 9/8c on The CW!

Liz Gillies Says Filming 'Dynasty' From Her Home Is a 'Horrible' Idea

Liz Gillies Says Filming 'Dynasty' From Her Home Is a 'Horrible' Idea

Liz Gillies opened up about the pandemic shutdown on her show Dynasty.

The 26-year-old actress talked with her friends at the Zach Sang Show and dished about where they left off before stopping production.

“We’re in touch. It was really shocking, as I’m sure it was for every single show or production that shut down. They made the decision quickly, I think it had to be made over the network, or the studio, or whatever, and they had to tell us,” Liz said.

“It was right in the middle of our last day of episode 20, but it’s a 22 episode season, so there is no finale at this juncture, and there is no episode before the finale,” she added. “It ends in a very weird place. When asked if she thought they could film from home like some other shows are doing, she responded that she doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

“Sounds horrible. Dynasty? You think all of our houses look like the Dynasty set? They don’t, they don’t look like that. I’m wearing matching sweatpants right now,” she said. LOL!
