Ashley Greene chats it up with Kathie Lee and Hoda on The Today Show on Tuesday morning (June 22) in NYC.
The 23-year-old actress dished to the hostesses about doing her own stunts in the third film, Eclipse.
Ashley shared, “Vampires aren’t really supposed to breathe or pant. But we had about six or seven weeks of training, and three hours of fight coordinating and a personal trainer on top of it to make sure we were in really good condition. We were basically begging to do our own stunts. We wanted it to be us, we wanted to be out there, we didn’t want them to have to cut away because it wasn’t our face – most of what you see is us.”

Earlier in the day, the duo attended a photocall and answered questions for press. Taylor shared about the kiss between Bella and Jacob, “It was good. Jacob finally gets to share Bella with Edward in a way. I actually got to kiss her [Kristen] twice. The first one — I got punched after it but the second one was good.”

Kristen Stewart steps out in an Oscar de la Renta studded mini dress at The Twilight Saga: Eclipse photocall in Stockholm, Sweden on Monday morning (June 21).
Costar pal Taylor Lautner recently chatted with MTV about a certain labor-intensive scene in Eclipse.
Taylor shared, “There’s a scene where I’m carrying [Kristen], and it’s also, like, four pages of dialogue. So I’m carrying her, and we’re walking through the woods, and I’m talking to her, and it’s a pretty intense talk. We actually had plans, a rig that was basically going to carry her, and I was just going to pretend that I was carrying her.”
He continued, “We got there on the day, and the rig didn’t look very natural. They were like, ‘What are we going to do?’ and I’m like, ‘I’ll just carry her. She’s like, what, 110 pounds? It’s no big deal!’ We filmed that scene all day long.”
Kristen completed her look with Brian Atwood “Wagner” peep toes.

Kristen recently chatted with Parade mag about how nervous she was kissing Taylor, 18. She shared, “Bella has got such tunnel vision that Edward is the only thing for her. That’s a strange perspective. So when Taylor Lautner and I kissed, it felt like such a different dynamic. I was nervous as hell.”

Taylor, 18, recently sat down with EXTRA and chatted about how he and Robert Pattinson really are good friends off screen. He shared, “It’s tough for me looking Rob in the face and having to be mean to him. Or having not to like him because he’s such a nice, funny guy.”
And what Cullen character would Taylor like to play? Edward! “Alice is a pretty cool character. That might require some makeup… But I’d go with Edward.”

Kirsten Prout recently sat down with PopEater to chat about all things Eclipse, Tae Kwon Do and the Vatican. Check out what the 19-year-old actress had to say:
On how she won the role of Lucy: “I just got the call. I went for one of the other vampires, Bree, and the vampire Bree is supposed to be thirteen years old with very short brown hair. So physically I was absolutely wrong for the part. But I went in, and the casting director and the director liked me so much that they said, ‘OK, you know what? We have another part.’ So they fit me in through that audition, into Lucy, who is also a newborn vampire, and she actually is the one who turns Jasper, which is interesting. The thing about Lucy is that she has long blond hair and very very pale blue eyes and skin, so physically I was a big match for Lucy. I went in for one more audition for Lucy and I ended up showing up on set a few days later.”
On finishing her tae kwon do training while filming Elektra: “I did tae kwon do for a very long time, and I made it to recommended black. I consider myself a black belt just because…(laughs) I got recommended black belt, and then I got Elektra and I couldn’t go to class anymore, but I had four personal trainers, who were all trained in tae kwon do and various martial arts. I did all my own stunts. (laughs) I pretty much finished my training there.”
On the Vatican condemning the Twilight franchise: “As for the Vatican…the Vatican pretty much condemns everything. It condemned Harry Potter. (laughs) Anything bigger than the actual church is condemned a lot of the time. To have attention, and that kind of fandom and that dedication, I think that’s unattractive to them. And it’s kind of expected. Vampires, mythical creatures of the night. I mean, look at the witch hunts and all these things that have happened with the Vatican. It’s a topic that they don’t really like to discuss a lot. It is what it is. And everyone is going to have their different reactions and everyone is entitled to say what they want….And it’s just a movie at the end of the day…just go in and enjoy the movie! Take it for what it is. It’s make-believe. It’s a teenage franchise. It’s a lot of fun.”
