Just before Louis Tomlinson dropped his newest single, “Back To You”, fans had a pretty good theory about the song.
It seems that some (i.e. A LOT) of fans thought it was about his on-again girlfriend, Eleanor Calder — well, sorry to burst that bubble, but it doesn’t look like it is after all.
“I think it’s conceptually, you know it’s one of those, it’s writing about one of those relationships,” Louis shared in a recent interview with Smallzy. “We all know people like that, [where] maybe shouldn’t be in a relationship very long term but they just keep finding their way back to each other for whatever reason.”
He adds, “We just wrote about that really. I think the song itself kind of, the lyrics are very honest, very raw, [and] kinda harsh at some point and I think Bebe [Rexha] definitely delivers.”
While Louis doesn’t say it’s not about her, we’re still hoping that it is — just a little.
Louis Tomlinson is the only member of One Direction who has yet to dabble in a solo career, but all of that is about to change.
The 25-year-old singer teased an audio clip from his first solo song, “Back to You,” today (July 11) and we couldn’t be more excited for him (and ourselves!) He only tweeted out 12 seconds of the song, but between the grainy video and the heartfelt melody, it sounds amazing.
Louishas said that the song is “about that one person that no matter how hard you try, you keep coming back to” and we’re pretty sure he means Eleanor Calder, his girlfriend who he rekindled his relationship with after a year apart. We also know that it is coming July 21 and features Bebe Rexha and DJ Digital Farm Animals.
Based on the replies to his tweet, his fans are ready for it.

The 25-year-old “Just Hold On” singer was accompanied by his girlfriend Eleanor Calder, who kept close as they checked out their favorite artists during the festival.
Seriously, Eleanor has just a great sense of style and while stalking her IG page, JJJ‘s found at least ten looks that we need to steal for the upcoming months. They’re super cute!

Now that a video has been released from the incident involving Louis Tomlinson and a photographer’s altercation at LAX Airport, we have a clearer understanding of what actually happened.
In the video, Eleanor is seen walking, possibly to the bathroom, and the photographer runs right in front of her track to snap photos. She is clearly startled and turns around and puts her hands over her face. While she walks away, Louis goes up to the photographer and tries to grab his camera. The man continues snapping away throughout all of this.
Louis and the photographer get into a bit of a struggle and while walking away, Louis appears to fall down and he decides to bring the photographer down with him. The photographer then falls backward and hits his head on the ground.
When Louis gets up, he rushes to Eleanor‘s side as he sees that she has been pushed into a corner by several women who appear to be ganging up on her. While it’s not clear what happened in the moments before the camera pans to her, it looks like Eleanor is being attacked and Louis pulls a woman off his girlfriend. Airport security then intervenes and pulls everyone apart.
Louis was arrested and booked at a nearby LAPD jail for simple battery.
