Speaking with Huffington Post, Ella opened up about writing the track: “When I wrote ["Mirror Man"], I was in such an angry, mad state-of-mind. I realized how horrible it was to be controversial and potentially release something when you know that person is going to know it’s about them.”

“It’s about the most self-centred person I’ve ever met,” the 19-year-old English “Ghost” hit-maker said of the track. “Everyone has experienced this person in their lives. They love themselves before they can love anyone else.”

The two musicians were the guests on Chris Evans‘ Radio 2 Breakfast Show where Ella, 19, performed four songs in the studio for listeners.

Ella also performed Ellie Goulding‘s “Love Me Like You Do”, as well as new single “Mirror Man” and “Ghost”.

The 19-year-old singer is currently promoting her new single, “Mirror Man” in Europe.
“For me it’s a track that shows a side of my character people don’t really get to see – unless you rub me up the wrong way,” Ella dished about the track.
She added, “[The song] is simply about the most self-centred person I’ve ever met. It’s about someone who loves themselves before anyone else. They probably love themselves so much, they don’t even realise it’s about them!”

It was just announced that the 19-year-old singer will be performing at the NBA All-Star Basketball Game Showcase this weekend!
“Heading back to the US this week! I’m going to be performing at the @nbaallstar game in NYC this Saturday. Can’t wait! #NBAAllStarNYC E x” Ella wrote on Twitter after the big news broke.
Black-ish‘s Anthony Anderson will host the event where Ella will perform her hit song “Ghost” from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn during the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night showcase on Saturday night (February 14).
