In a new interview with TVLine, the actress, who plays Felicity on the series, previewed that one of the couple’s scariest moments is coming.
“We’re trying to show that heroes have vulnerable and fragile spots as well,” Emily shared about how Oliver’s cracking will affect the duo’s marriage. “Everyone needs help, and that’s the whole point about accepting family and accepting help.”
“That’s the strongest you can be, when you’re able to accept those things. And hopefully that comes across.”
Beyond that, Emily also opened up about playing the peacekeeper within the team, which has fractured into the tiniest of fragments.
“She does the best she can, but as you are usually when you want to have somebody’s side so strongly, she’s a little bit biased,” she says. “She still believes in their journey in front of them, and still wants to believe. And I think wanting to believe is, like, 95 percent of it some of the time. Without that belief, there are lives at stake. She wants to make sure she can keep things all together.”
An all-new Arrow airs TONIGHT @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
The Arrow actress revealed to TVLine that Helix Dynamics, Felicity and Curtis’ tech company does indeed come back into play in the rest of this season on Arrow.
“Felicity and Curtis obviously got in a bit of a disagreement over a big problem, and I say their disagreement is ‘little’ because we do come back to Helix Dynamics without addressing it a major way,” she shared.
How does it all come about?
“They just decide to accept each other back,” Emily says. “I think they miss each other more than anything. Which is nice. Sometimes space and time [heals wounds].”
Echo Kellum, who plays Curtis, added that “you’ll see Felicity and Curtis get back on the ball, making sure that they’re focused on doing what made them great in the first place, by delving into some dynamic technologies.”

Emily Bett Rickards is opening up about the challenges and pressure of doing crossovers within the Arrowverse in a new interview.
Speaking with Collider, the Arrow star revealed that she actually shudders when someone mentions a crossover is happening.
“I shudder like someone said the word ‘Voldermort’,” she joked.
Emily does admit though, that, “they’re amazing…I think it’s really special for fans who want to see a growing and different aspect of a television show.”
“It’s an interesting platform and there’s nothing else like that.”
But still, it’s a lot of work.
“You get to work with different writers, different actors, different directors in the same week, probably in the same day. Three shows on the same day, it’s a little bit much.”
