Here's How Elsa & Anna's Parents Will Be Part Of 'Frozen 2'

New details have emerged about Frozen 2 and it’s making us so excited for the film, which is out in November!

During the Annecy Film Festival this week, head of animation Becky Bresee and head of effects animation Marlon West shared new details from the film centering on Elsa’s powers.

The two shared two scenes from the movie, as well as new images. While we don’t get to see them now, Variety did report a bit on how the Queen, and Princess Anna’s parents will be part of the film.

If you remember, they died during a trip while heading to a wedding in the first film.

The first clip shown was when “Elsa and Anna are still young girls. Their father regales the girls with a lavish bedtime story from his youth, when the young prince himself visited an enchanted elemental forest, before something went horribly wrong and he was quickly brought back to Arendelle.”

“Since then, there has been a disconnect between the people of the town and the elements: Air, fire, water and earth.”

Two other clips were shown that focused on Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven playing a game of charades; and the second was a longer version of Elsa with the underwater horse that we see in the trailer.

If you missed it, you can see the trailer for Frozen 2 on JJJ now.

In addition to leaving the kingdom behind, Frozen 2 also has four confirmed songs, and one, written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, that’s an evolution from “Let It Go”.

“It’s its own song…Bobby and Kristen just delivered it three weeks ago,” Jennifer shared. “We’ve been working with them for two years and this song just came in and I love it.”
