Gabby Douglas is opening up about her performance so far in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The 20-year-old gymnast will sadly not being able to defend her Olympic all-around individual title after coming in third behind her teammates Simone Biles, 19, and Aly Raisman, 22.
Still, she has so much to be proud of!
“I’m not disappointed at all,” she told the Associated Press. “I have no regrets.”
Gabby added, “I just wanted to go out there and believe in my abilities and use the talent that I was given. I wasn’t concerned with anything else.”

The US Women’s Gymnastics team absolutely dominated the qualification round for Artistic Gymnastics at 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 7) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Simone Biles, Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Gabby Douglas put the US on top of the leaderboard, ahead of China and Russia as they set records in their performances.
Simone and Aly will compete in the All-Around competition. Madison was number one on the uneven bars and will compete in the final for the medal.
Simone, Aly, Gabby, Laurie, and Madison will compete on Tuesday in the team final, before the All-Around on Thursday. Individual events start on August 14th.

Simone Biles had officially made her Olympic debut during Women’s qualification for Artistic Gymnastics at 2016 Rio Summer Olympics on Sunday (August 7) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The 19-year-old gymnast earned the top spot on the leaderboard during the floor routine, with Aly Raisman in second, Laurie Hernandez in 4th and Gabby Douglas in 8th. Simone is also leading the vault.
After arriving in Rio earlier in the week, Simone connected quick with Brazilian gymnast Arthur Nory, even calling him her “Brazilian Boyfriend” in a cute pic on social media.

“It’s good to have someone like that to keep us accountable and really just motivate us,” Gabby said of Aly as team captain for her second Olympic games. “You need someone like that, or else the team starts kind of falling apart and you’re not together as one. So you kind of need that one person to rally everyone.”

The 22-year-old gymnast was voted team captain for the team, for her second straight Olympic games.
