The Ghostbusters are coming to Netflix!
The streaming service announced on Wednesday (June 8) that an animated series is in development from executive producers Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan.
If you didn’t know, Jason just recently directed the recent Ghostbusters: Afterlife movie, which he co-wrote with Gil and Dan Aykroyd.

Mckenna Grace is stepping out for a special screening of her new movie!
The 15-year-old actress hit the red carpet for a screening of Ghostbusters: Afterlife at iPic Theaters on Monday (November 8) in Los Angeles.
She wore a pleated leather skirt and a black knit sweater with pearl embellishments, pairing the look with a leather clutch and white platform boots.
She was joined at the event by her BFF August Maturo at the screening, as well as Lexi Underwood, Elias Harger, “Moral of the Story” singer Ashe, Bob Saget and Blackbear with fiancée Michele Maturo.
In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
The movie will debut in theaters on November 19 and you can check out the new trailer here!

The young stars were at the event for a surprise screening of their movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife on Friday (October 8) at the Javits Center in New York City.
Also in attendance were co-stars Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, and Carrie Coon, as well as writer-director Jason Reitman, co-writer Gil Kenan, and producer Ivan Reitman.
“My father and I think you’ve waited long enough,” Jason said. He added, “Please don’t spoil it in the end.”
Ghostbusters: Afterlife was supposed to hit theaters on July 10, 2020, but the release date was delayed because of the pandemic. Now, it will be finally hitting theaters on November 19.
