'Girl Meets World' Showrunner Confirms Show Won't Return

'Girl Meets World' Showrunner Confirms Show Won't Return

This is majorly sad news — Girl Meets World is officially done.

After the series’ unjust cancellation at Disney Channel, showrunner Michael Jacobs tried to find another network or streaming service for the show to continue.

However, in a tweet posted this morning, he confirms that the show is completely over.

“I wasn’t able to find a new venue for the show,” he tells the fans. “I’m sorry. We brought our best and hope we made you think and feel.”

Michael adds, “Until next time. Thanks.”

We’re so sad to see this end.

This Mini 'Girl Meets World' Reunion Will Hit You Right in the Feels

Awww! If you’ve been feeling sentimental for Girl Meets World (which, let’s be honest, we all have), this mini reunion will leave you aching with nostalgia.

Ava Kolker (Ava Morgenstern), Ceci Balagot (Smackle), and Cooper Friedman (Dewey) reunited at a Say NO Bullying event in Los Angeles on Saturday, and of course paused to photograph the gathering.

“It’s a mini #girlmeetsworld reunion,” Ava‘s Instagram says, “Miss you Ceci.”

Could this cast be any cuter? The show may be over, but with Rowan Blanchard‘s on-screen mom telling her she’s going to change the world and August Maturo wishing Mr. Feeny happy birthday, it’s clear that this group is more than a family on-screen.

It's a mini #girlmeetsworld reunion. Miss you Ceci.

Sabrina Carpenter Still Has Hope For A 'Girl Meets World' Revival

Sabrina Carpenter Still Has Hope For A 'Girl Meets World' Revival

Sabrina Carpenter is missing Girl Meets World just as much as you are.

The actress and singer recently spoke with TVGroove about the impact of the Disney Channel show, which was cancelled just after three seasons, and the possibility of a revival.

“There’s a chance for everything,” Sabrina shared. “I think stranger things have happened. It’s so funny when you say that.”

“I’m happy when people are upset about it ending because if they weren’t and were happy about it, that’s a bad thing, so when they’re upset that means we left something [people care about]. And I think that’s a really cool thing.”

She adds, “But we’ll see what happens, I don’t know.”

We’re pretty sure everyone here is definitely on board for a revival.

Sabrina also talked about growing up on the show and what it meant to her: “Even though it was only three seasons, we worked on it for four years. So I think of it like family and I think it will always stick with me as a memory that I have of my childhood.”

Girl Meets World's Mr. Feeny Wants You To Pay Attention To Politics

Girl Meets World's Mr. Feeny Wants You To Pay Attention To Politics

William Daniels will forever be known as Mr. Feeny from the Boy Meets World/Girl Meets World franchise — a role that comes with some hefty weight attached to it.

Mr. Feeny is the end all-be all teacher, the one that you secretly wanted to have.

“Not in my wildest imagination, and I’m still surprised,” William told Buzzfeed about how much of an impact Mr. Feeny has had.

“I remember we were in New York and we were coming out of the theater after a matinee and there was a bus full of kids. They came out of the bus as I passed them going down Eighth Avenue, and they started yelling, ‘Feeny! Feeny!’”

He adds to his funny story, “Well, the brave one that I am, I ran around the block just to get away from them. There was a whole bus of them yelling ‘Feeny!’ while coming after me – a bus load! I just ran.”

Smart man! But, he still wants the best for young people and yes, he has major advice for you right now.

“Pay attention to the politics.”

William adds, “I’m worried about where we are right now. These are difficult times and young people have gotta form an opinion and they’ve gotta act on it. And by act on it I mean, they have to vote when there’s a chance to vote, and use their own judgments about what’s going on these days because, I think, these are difficult times, you know? Without getting into it too much.”

We’ll definitely be taking his advice.

Sabrina Carpenter Just Couldn't Pick Her Favorite 'Girl Meets World' Costar

Sabrina Carpenter Just Couldn't Pick Her Favorite 'Girl Meets World' Costar

Making someone pick a favorite costar is like picking your favorite book — you just can’t pick one — and Sabrina Carpenter definitely knows that.

When asked to name her fave co-star during a visit to Seacrest Studios at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas earlier this month, she just couldn’t.

“My favorite friend? You’re going to make me pick? I’m gonna get angry texts from whoever I don’t say,” she reasoned.

Sabrina did pick one though, but not as her fave co-star: “Who know who makes me laugh so much? Ben Savage, who plays Cory Cory Matthews, our teacher. He’s the funniest person in real life and on screen.”

“I started the show when I was 13-years-old, so I’ve grown up the past four years on the show with the people around me, and it’s so much fun.”

Rowan Blanchard is Upset About 'Consumer Feminism'

Rowan Blanchard is Upset About 'Consumer Feminism'

Activist and Girl Meets World actress Rowan Blanchard made a statement about trendy feminist clothing on her Instagram Story last night.

Ro has proven she’s not afraid to speak out about what she believes in, and she wants fellow activists to know that feminism, or any other political movement, shouldn’t come at a cost.

In this case, Rowan is taking clothing companies to task for charging outrageous prices for clothing with feminist slogans, for example.

“It’s important to keep in mind the second there is a chance for businesses to capitalize on things that become mainstream, they will take it,” she wrote. “It’s cool to buy political/feminist tee shirts when the $$$ is going to a nonprofit that fights for PoC/tpoc/queer/women/etc.”

The 15-year-old star went on to say that she’s not into “consumerist classist feminism,” and that what really matters is that people take to the streets and to the phones to protest and to resist what they disagree with.
