We’re so excited to see Grace VanderWaal make her movie debut in the upcoming Disney+ film Stargirl and we’re going to get the rest of you excited for it with this exclusive clip!
In the clip, Grace performs a song called “Be True to Your School” and you’ll be able to watch the full version when the movie debuts on Disney+ on March 13.
Grace plays the title role of Stargirl Caraway, a confident and colorful new student with a penchant for the ukulele, who stands out in a crowd. She is kind, finds magic in the mundane and touches the lives of others with the simplest of gestures.
To celebrate her birthday, Disney+ dropped the trailer for Stargirl, the 16-year-old singer’s acting debut.
Here’s a synopsis: Leo Borlock is an average student at Mica High School. He gets decent grades, is a member of the school’s marching band and has always been content flying under the radar. But all that changes when he meets Stargirl Caraway, a confident and colorful new student with a penchant for the ukulele, who stands out in a crowd.
She is kind, finds magic in the mundane and touches the lives of others with the simplest of gestures. Her eccentricities and infectious personality charm Leo and the student body, and she quickly goes from being ignored and ridiculed to accepted and praised, then back again, sending Leo on a rollercoaster ride of emotions.
The Disney Parks special will feature the Christmas Day Parade down Main Street U.S.A., plus heartwarming stories and celebrity performances. There will also be exclusive Disney Parks sneak peeks of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida in spring 2020 and Disneyland Park in California in the future, and Avengers Campus, coming to Disney California Adventure Park in California in 2020.
Viewers will also get a special look at the newly opened Disney Skyliner gondola system, which connects Walt Disney World Resort to two Disney theme parks and four resorts, including the new Disney’s Riviera Resort, which recently opened.

The new EP features five new tracks, plus fan fave track “UR So Beautiful” and is a series of moody, layered ruminations on self-doubt, love, confidence, and growing up.
“This new EP, this new era, this new me… it’s very colorful, but muted—very self-expressive, but in an understandable way,” Grace shared of the project.

Grace VanderWaal performs in a living room set on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday (November 13)!
The 15-year-old musician sang her latest single “I Don’t Like You“, just a day after releasing the new music video.
“Catch [me] on the James Corden show tonight y’all it’s snappin 🖖,” she wrote on Instagram ahead of her performance.
Grace also just teased her new EP Letters Vol 1, which will be released next week, on Friday, November 22nd!
“This new EP, this new era, this new me… it’s very colorful, but muted — very self-expressive, but in an understandable way,” she dished in a press release.
