Greg Berlanti & The CW Developing 'Wonder Girl' Series With Latina Lead!

The CW is working on another new DC Comics series – Wonder Girl!

The network, home to many other shows like The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning, is looking to bring the latest to the screen, with a Latina star, Deadline reports.

Greg Berlanti and his Berlanti Productions, who produces all of the other DC shows, along with Queen of the South executive producer/co-showrunner Dailyn Rodriguez are bringing the show to life.

Wonder Girl will follow “Yara Flor, a Latina Dreamer who was born of an Amazonian Warrior and a Brazilian River God, learns that she is Wonder Girl. With her newfound power must fight the evil forces that would seek to destroy the world.”

This would be the first Latina superhero led DC TV series, and “tells the backstory/origin story of the DC Comics character of Yara Flor, who was recently revealed as a new Wonder Woman. Yara will make her comic book appearance this January in “Future State: Wonder Woman,” part of DC’s Future State event written and drawn by Joëlle Jones.”

Harry Styles Set To Join Lily James In New Film 'My Policeman'

Harry Styles has already lined up another film!

The 26-year-old musician is in negotiations to star in the upcoming novel to movie adaptation My Policeman, alongside Lily James.

The “story takes place in the late 1990s, when the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home, triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal,” according to Deadline.

Greg Berlanti and his husband Robbie Rogers are set to produce the feature for Amazon, with Michael Grandage directing the screenplay adaptation Ron Nyswaner.

Production is set to start next summer, which works out perfectly for Harry, as he has April through the beginning of August off in between legs of his Love On Tour concert tour.

Just less than a week ago, it was announced that Harry will be starring in another new movie alongside Florence Pugh!

'Arrowverse' Producer Greg Berlanti Dishes On the Next Crossover Event

'Arrowverse' Producer Greg Berlanti Dishes On the Next Crossover Event

Greg Berlanti recently opened up about the future of the Arrowverse crossovers!

The producer of many of The CW shows talked about what this next season’s event will be like during the DC FanDome event last weekend.

“In terms of what our next crossover event will be next year, I think truly because of COVID right now and the pandemic, our aspirations aren’t quite as large. We’d just like to start shooting again,” he said during the Multiverse 101 panel.

Greg also shared that the Arrowverse/Multiverse crossovers weren’t ever in their original plans.

“When we started out just with Arrow, eight – nine years ago now, it wasn’t our intention to replicate what everyone had done so brilliantly in comics,” he said during the panel. “And it wasn’t until The Flash came along and we tried in the pilot of The Flash to put the two of them [Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin] on screen together, that I remember watching that first scene of the two of them together and thinking like, ‘Oh wow, this makes me feel like the DC books made me feel.’ Like one plus one equals three.”

This season’s Arrowverse crossover will be much smaller than Crisis On Infinite Earths was last season, with just Superman & Lois and Batwoman being the only two shows to cross over, as was revealed earlier this year.
